Top with one exception
The hotel, the super friendly service, breakfast & dinner as well as the two top 18 hole courses deserve full 5 points, we felt very comfortable. The but: there are really a lot of very slow flights on the course, which is hugely disturbing and not fun. A marshal also on weekdays absolutely must intervene.

Very well maintained golf courses-little maintained hotel
Economical signage of the hotel approach. At reception little accommodation or help with luggage.
Room ok, cleanliness expandable.
Food: Breakfast ok, but very restrained filling of the empty plates
Dinner (half board): good. Choice of 3 main courses.
Golf courses: best condition. Golf reception exceptionally friendly and accommodating!

Princely winter glow super
We came especially for the princely winter glow. This is a 4 km long illuminated circular trail on the large grounds. It is very impressive and very affordable compared to other installations of this type. In the middle there was mulled wine and other drinks such as food (vegetarian, steaks and sausages in the bread) and a souvenir shop with all the Christmas stuff.

New Year's Eve horror
Through the internet we became aware of the "big New Year's Eve Gala" at the golf resort. "Celebrating in the princely golf resort" as an arrangement with a "New Year's Eve Gala Evening". Everything sounds great, we and our friends thought, but unfortunately they were taught better. But in order:
Arrival on 29.12.24
We had not booked half board, because you can also - according to the website - eat a little something in the casual cafe-restaurant "Ausblick-T19". When we arrived in the afternoon, we saw that the "T-19" was closed. No problem, we thought, let's just go to the restaurant. Here we were told that unfortunately we did not get anything, as we had not reserved in advance. Mind you, not because the restaurant was full, but because we didn't let the kitchen know!! When I asked again if we wanted to be sent to bed hungry in a hotel, we were allocated a place for the evening, but with the note that we can only order from the small menu of the “T19”. That was ok, because that's all we wanted.. I don’t want to explain here that there were still “inconsistencies” during the ordering and the service and that the sports offered on the web were not possible. Not a nice start for a 4star hotel!
In the room the next surprises awaited us: Animals! In total I “killed” 1 spider, 1 beetle and some silverfish in the 3 days. Under the radiator at the window there was probably no vacuuming for some time (pictures available!) and towels that were put on the floor for changing were simply “overlooked...” as I said, supposedly 4-star hotel!
But New Year's Eve was the shooting! We went for a walk and came back to the hotel around 3:00 p.m. Now a nice cup of coffee... thought! The bistro/bar T19 was already closed again!! As we looked for help, a voice came from behind: “Need something?” That’s the last salutation I expect in a hotel!! But be that as it may, we just wanted coffee. “It doesn’t exist today” was the answer. Again unkindly short and crisp! We couldn't believe this and asked again. No, that was the answer. Then the lady came up with a flash of spirit and she asked: are they guests here in the house? Yes, of course! Then I'll take a look... Shortly afterwards she came back with two cups and said: but you can't drink here, just in the room... I guess we ended up in a hostel, were my thoughts. No food the night before, nothing to drink today... Great service!!
How do you think it'll be in the evening?
At 6 p.m. there was a champagne reception in the drafty lobby and at 6:10 p.m. the restaurant manager brought us to the table. “Come on, come on,” he said, as if we were missing something. Shortly afterwards the dinner started. The food was very good but the pace enormous. We were already done by 22:00, but we still had the big “get-together” in the T-19 bar. Here’s the next surprise: no seating at the bar, a few standing tables, music from your phone and a “huge” drinks menu: Wine, beer, sparkling wine, water - that was all!!
We would have liked to have had an Aperol, but the staff told us they were not allowed to serve one! Excuse me?? I asked for the boss and he came to our standing table, did not introduce himself and asked about our concern. We explained our concern to him and that we would expect to get something else to drink in a “4 star hotel”... He nodded understandingly, said yes 3 times and then left without any explanation or answer. I've never experienced anything like this in my entire life!
After the modest service of the hotel also struck the mood among the other guests, it was accordingly “unfunny”. The glass of sparkling wine and the bag of crisps and peanuts could not change that at midnight.
The next morning was a big departure day and when I stood in line at the reception, I felt really sorry for the receptionist. When asked if everything was fine, I heard from EVERY guest that it didn't fit. I also heard from some that they are not coming back...
We also put forward everything again and they said to us that the hotel would definitely get back to us again - surprise, 10 days after New Year's Eve still no answer! That's why the detailed description of this evaluation is included.
The service staff at breakfast and the lady and trainee at the bar on New Year's Eve are sympathetic. They understood how to deal with guests and were very friendly, which unfortunately can not be said of the restaurant manager...
Our friends and we will definitely not visit the hotel again and, based on the experience, can only advise against it.
A hotel where you have to beg for food and drink (although the room rate was raised on New Year’s Eve), where you can’t sit comfortably together in the evening at the bar, where you can’t take advantage of sports activities (archery), is not worth calling yourself a “hotel”. We were more than disappointed and would have preferred to spend the over 1000€ somewhere else.
