Wonderful stay

Liked · 3-4 rooms connected to a bakery, rooms very well equipped, with kitchen and dining counter. With an inviting balcony. Breakfast could be put together individually, pre-ordered and eaten in the bakery. Breakfast was very good. Parking spaces for cars and a garage for e-bikes available. 10-15 minutes walk to Friedrichshafen center, so the location is very good. Overall a very nice stay.

Warm Welcome

Wonderful little bakery hotel. Most accommodating and friendly staff you will meet in any hotel anywhere. Charming room with the toilet and shower separated, always a plus. We got up late and missed breakfast. No problem, they served us lunch instead. Fair walk into town but just a short walk to grocery stores down the street. Make sure you try the little Thai restaurant just around the corner. Highly recommended if you are close to Friedrichshafen.

Wonderful

A wonderful experience! Owners treat you like family. Breakfast in the bakery is exceptional. Rooms clean and well maintained. A short walk to the waterfront. I highly recommend Webers alte Backstube.

Superb place to stay

A small boutique hotel with beautifully decorated rooms, a very comfortable bed, a well-equipped kitchen (coffee machine, refrigetor, washing machine and other kitchen supplies), a great shower and nice balcony. Moreover, amazing breakfast on the bakeshop of the hotel (firts floor is the bakery and baked product are quite fresh and delicious).
Hotel is 15 min. walking away from the city center. But you will not miss anything since the city center is not hustle and bustle. Encourage yourself to leisurely walk to the city center enjoying the alleys and green pathways.
In general, I feel more comfortable to stay in int. hotel chains but this hotel has definitely changed my mind and place become already my fav & strongly recommended one.
Golden tip: Take a train-trip to Bregenz (beautiful Baverian city with Alp plateau) in 50 min.
If you have another full day or more you may visit to Zurich by pass through Romanshorn (ferry in 40 min. from Friedrichshafen to Romanshorn + train in 1 hour from Romanshorn to Zurich)

Sehr empfehlenswert

Die alte Bäckerei Weber liegt in einem ruhigen Stadteil von Friedrichshafen, ca 10 min zu Fuß zum Hafen und Innenstadt. Von den drei Gastzimmern hatten wir für 3 Nächte das "Backofenzimmer" mit Balkon zum Garten. Das Zimmer und auch die Bäckerei sind sehr ansprechend eingerichtet, tip-top sauber und alles da was man benötigt. Das Frühstück in der Bäckerei läßt wirklich keine Wünsche offen, auch der größte Esser wird bestimmt satt - unbedingt das Müsli und das Nußhörnchen probieren!!! Frau Weber und die 'Bäckerei-Mädels' sind sehr, sehr nett. Wir haben uns in der 'Alten Bäckerei' sehr wohl gefühlt - Alles in Allem klare Empfehlung!
