Short-term to Pottenstein and the surrounding area.

Short trip to Pottenstein and surroundings. Overnight stay in simple but quiet and clean single rooms. Very good mattresses. Clean renovated bathroom with shower and toilet. Sufficiently sized breakfast buffet. Dinner in the in-house restaurant with Franconian specialities and local draft beer. Great service staff. Completely satisfied!

The purest chaos

We arrived at the hotel at 17:00. We wanted to get ready for the party. Unfortunately we had to take a cold shower. At night at the party around 3:30 we received the message that our room had been double occupied and now there was a stranger with a different access code in our room. What shocked me a lot, how can you open a room with 2 different codes? We would have liked to have stayed longer at the celebration, but since we no longer knew whether we had a place to sleep or not, we decided to leave the celebration and see if something was missing. When we arrived, the room was empty. We learned the next day that the person had been picked up from another room and now had to spend the night on 2 pushed-together armchairs. We would have loved to have stayed at the party longer.
The room was a bit old-fashioned, even the bathroom does not meet the standards, compared to what you get otherwise for 149€ a night. For us, this night was the last and it was pure chaos. Not recommended! Especially that you come with other room codes into an already occupied room is the smash.

Welcoming, family-run atmosphere

We stayed here with two young (<5) children for two nights and were very well looked-after.
The rooms were large, with plenty of space to spread out. They were also recently decorated and refurbished. The staff were always friendly. We ate both nights in the restaurant, which was very good value for money. There is a large garden at the back with a play area, which was a great environment to sit and relax whilst the kids ran around.
The only complaint would be the service in the restaurant on one of the nights. It took at least 30 minutes to get our drinks after ordering, and an hour to get the food. With small kids, this was definitely no fun. The mitigating circumstances were that it was a public holiday, the place was packed, and it seemed as if there was a family party going-on out the back.
Nevertheless, would definitely visit again.

Erst hui dann pfui

Am ersten Abend super, jeden weiteren immer schlechter. Draußen zu sitzen nervt. Es ist direkt an der Straße und irre laut.
Von den Abgasen ganz zu schweigen.
Am schlimmsten war die Roulade.
Zäh wie Schuhsohle.

Einladendes Gasthaus in der "Fränkischen"

Hervorragende Küche. Mit das beste Schäuferle in der Region. Freundlich. Parken vor der Tür. Gute Speisekarte. Braten, Schnitzel , Cordon Bleu ... Zum Abschluß Windbeutel mit Sahne und Erdbeeren. Ein Traum. Wichtig: Öffnungszeiten beachten und unbedingt reservieren.
