Odd name for a charming inn

Located on the main through road of town, near the turn-off to the train station, Ginkobaum is private, very nicely decorated and appointed and has a most forthcoming and professional hostess. The room was ample and the bath had a shower that actually worked as desired, although the tiles are slick and there are no safety hand holds. Wi-Fi virtually did not work in the room and I had to move to the breakfast room to connect in the evening. There is a courtyard and fenced parking is available. Decorations are in Peruvian style. Breakfast was ample and well presented.
There is a great roadside Thuringian bratwurst grill just up the road, past the viaduct, that is a must stop.

Übernachtung vor dem Getting Tough Race: um 19:45 nach 6 Stunden Fahrt durch Staus endlich angekommen. Hotel leer, klein Klingeln, kein Klopfen, selbst anrufen hilft nicht, Rezeption soll bis 20:00 besetzt sein.
Als Taschenlampe raus und in den Innenhof, Suche nach offner Tür...Endlich. Entdecke Rezeptionistin in der Küche: "Ich war noch grad einkaufen...die Geschäfte machen ja um 20:00 zu..."Hmmm.
Haus alt, Zimmer alt, zusammengewürfelt. Und was mit zunehmendem Alter ärgerlich ist: spärliche Beleuchtung, kein Licht auf dem Schreibtisch, Deckenbeleuchtung eine Funzel, der Fernseher taugt gar, Tonqualität miserabel. Keine Empfehlung und mit 53 € zu teuer
