En route to Austria

What a nice place. 400-year-old gadthuis with many original parts, such as carvings, stained glass and an ancient staircase.
Sweet couple manages the guest house. Ample parking space behind the hotel.
Fine beds and pillows. Dated bathroom, but well, that has charm too.
Nice Flammkuche.

Neat Place

Room was clean and comfy and breakfast was delicious. Staff was courteous and friendly. Easy town to walk around, we crossed the bridge and explored that side also. Came back and had a drink on the patio, very relaxing.

Had a great stay, so friendly and welcoming

We had a lovely stay here with Thea and Cis. The rooms are large and the beds are comfy. Breakfast was a lovely assortment. The owners were very welcoming and helpful with making reservations for us and suggesting things to do during our stay. I often think, when reading reviews, that most people don`t realize the challenges that these property owners have in incorporating modern conveniences into buildings that are hundreds of years old. Thea explained, almost apologetically, that the water pump will make a sound when in use. As it happens we have the same system at our home so it didn`t bother us at all. Also WIFI was really strong. Definitely recommend!!

A cute hostel ...

A very nice restored building with an interesting decoration with unexpected objects in the hallway and the dining room ....
Owners are very welcoming and bedrooms are cosy ....
Breakfast was good with lots of choices ...
My parents liked it so much that they stayed another night ...which I would have done also if I didn't need to go to work in Köln ...

Love This Place & Dog Friendly

Had a lovely one night stay here.
Our room was en suite so I think hostel is not a good description. Some rooms have a bathroom on the landing.
Everything was super clean and it's in a charming village by the river.
The place is full of character and the proprietor is a lovely lady and was singing around me at breakfast.
Free parking, breakfast (cold meats & bread etc) wifi and dog friendly.
I absolutely recommend a stop off in this lovely area while you drive through Germany.
