Short breaks

I don't reach anyone by email or by phone. Our invoice should be sent to us by email. We left on 20.04.26 and today 24.04.26 we have not received an invoice let alone a reaction. This is not a service....

Once Upon a time.......

Time has stood still. I stayed at the Kutschenbauer about 12 years ago. I booked here again because of the good experience. Unfortunately, I have to say that room service never came (with flimsy excuses) (for 3 nights). No voucher booklet was provided, apparently there were no more. The local tourist office was "shocked". Breakfast buffet - sufficient but in small quantities and of poor quality. A pity

Ideal place to stay!

We came to Wernigerode to see the Christmas Market in a typical german town. We left it quite late to find a place to stay and were worried about finding somewhere as all the online bookings for hotels and pensions in the town were fully booked. I called the tourist information and they found us this B&B. We were very happy with our stay here. The owners were very friendly and helpful and could speak a bit of English which was a bonus. Breakfast was served every day between 8 and 10; fruit, bread, cereal and tea and coffee which was a great way to start the day. Ideally located in the town centre and a 5 minute walk to the station. Highly recommend this! !!!

Ideal place to stay

This hidden gem is worth a visit. On arrival drive into a large car park which is secured, but can be easily accessed using your room key. The pedestrian exit at the other end leads to the main street. Inside the hotel are lovely large clean bedroomswhich means you have plenty of space with very comfortable beds for a good night's sleep. Some of the rooms look out towards the Brocken, while the others look out towards the castle. Some indeed have windows on each side looking out to both. The shower room is not cramped but was spotlessly clean. The breakfast room on the first floor has a large picture window looking towards the castle, but you tend to concentrate more on the display on the breakfast buffet, which really is extensive - several types of breads, meats, cheeses, jams, juices and fruits amongst other things.
The hotel is only a few minutes walk to the stations of both DB and HSB and makes an ideal place to stay while visiting the area and good value for money.
