Beautiful views and relaxed atmosphere
I stayed for 3 nights in habitación 6. I absolutely loved it and really got some time to relax. Tidy room with comfy bed and en suit bathroom. Great views. There is a kitchen that can be used by guests. Laura the host really made me feel at home. Also got to hire a bike for free which is great. Breakfast is a bit a let down as they serve milk powder.

Mixed feelings
The hotel is situated around a lovely courtyard and has kitchen and dining facilities. The rooms were reasonably large, but the bathroom felt a little cramped with no real partition for the shower. Breakfast, not unusual from experience, was bread and didn't leave you feeling full. Wifi is only in the courtyard and slow, I also suspect that they might have turned it off when they wanted us to go to bed and leave they following afternoon. It is run by a family, but primarily two ladies. One, who spoke a little English was very nice and helpful, they other not so much, and abruptly/rudely communicated to us, despite being the only other group at the hotel, that we were unwelcome to wait for our bus at the hotel and must leave, marring our otherwise pleasant stay

Good facilities, but owner slightly rude...
Pretty hosteria set around a nice courtyard. Has a small kitchen and indoor eating area. Wifi is slow. Rooms are nicely decorated but lack windows so are dark. Breakfast is included but is not much- bread butter and hot drink.
We enjoyed our stay a lot until our final day. We had a bus at 2pm. Checkout was at 10am. We removed our bags and left our room before 10. After that we sat in the courtyard, using the wifi to plan our next place. We weren't being noisy, and there was no one around. However the owner (who knew we were leaving town at 2) didn't like us being there. So at midday she bluntly said checkout is at 10, now it's 12, ciao. So we had to leave during the hottest part of the day with our big luggage. We also think she turned off the wifi about 15 minutes before she asked us to leave.
It's not that we think she was wrong to ask us to go, but it was her manner. We felt confused also, because the day before it was insinuated that we could stay there until our bus. We left feeling awkward and offended.
It's a shame because it's a nice hotel.

Acogedor
Nos quedamos dos noches en El Zaguan. Quedamos muy conformes. Es cómodo, con buenas camas y ducha. Laura es excelente y nos ayudó con indicaciones para lo que necesatábamos, donde lavar la ropa, donde coemr que cosas, bodegas para visitar, paseos, ferias artesanales en y fuera de Cafayate. El desayuno es bueno y el alojamiento queda en pleno centro.

Excelente elección.
Un lugar muy cómodo, habitación amplia y muy limpia, cálida. El desayuno si bien no era abundante, la cocina es muy cómoda, es un espacio común donde podes coincidir con el resto de los huéspedes y compartir distintas historias. Laura e Iván son muy atentos, Iván es guía turístico y explica muy bien qué recorrido es obligado para hacer en Cafayate. Nos hospedamos 2 noches, volveríamos sin duda.
