Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Service

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and were extremely happy with the experience. The entire staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, especially with elderly guests and children, which we truly appreciated.
The reception team was always cooperative and ready to help with anything we needed, and the housekeeping staff did a great job throughout our stay. Everyone made us feel comfortable and well taken care of.
A special thank you to Ms. Haneen and Mr. Yasser for their kindness and outstanding support, as well as to all the other wonderful staff members who made our stay so enjoyable.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Alexandria. We would be very happy to stay here again! ❤️

Cecil Steigenberger is always my favorite hotel in Alexandria. Excellent location, and very nice well maintained. However, for my 2 days stay in level 5 i faced a problem with low water pressure and no hot water as they said the boiler under maintenance. Shut down hot water in any such big hotel need to be announced and the guest will adsorb this problem or not before they come and stay and make in unpleasant surprise. I think hotel management need to take it seriously, otherwise they will slowly lose their reputation and customer loyalty

A gem in Alexandria, Egypt

Upon arrival I was greeted by an enthusiastic team of professionals to include the Duty Manager. I was impressed with the security technology at the entrance. As a security professional I felt that security is a priority at this hotel and felt extremely safe. The front desk staff members at hotel were amazing throughout my 7 days stay. Oh my gosh the Bell men, the cleaners, the waiters etc. Breakfast was great and palatable. I was served by all the Ahmeds (how coincidental) The room service was awesome. The chicken soup had a new twist and I loved it. My room with sea view was amazing. The management and staff were so considerate and caring. The facility was hygienic. I loved the bathrooms both in the room and public. The Victorian inspired property is a must stay. This hotel is the gem of Alexandria. Wow. I am someone who has a problem falling asleep in new environments I slept like a baby here. Please stay here when you visit Egypt. You will not regret it. I cannot name everyone individually but I stayed there June 20-June 27, 2026. Jermine & Zeyad were the Duty Managers. Please give my love to all the staff on duty during that period. My go to hotel when I am back in Alex.

Loved our stay!

Our stay at the Cecil hotel was wonderful. The staff was always attentive, from the minute we checked in, to after checking out. The hotel is a beautiful and historic building, but it is very well maintained. The old-timey elevators work well and efficiently, and the bathrooms are all updated. Our view of the Corniche and the sea was stunning, although the streets could be a little loud at night, but not a problem for me. The location was very central and everywhere we were going was usually less than 15 minutes away. The hotel security was also very attentive and friendly. Food and coffee were both delicious - I highly recommend getting some room service! Would not hesitate to stay here again.
