Great stay with help from the two ladies at the front desk and Claire!
The young lady Claire who served us breakfast on several morning during our stay was outstanding! She provided us with wonderful tourist information about places to go and has a wonderful personality that enables her to connect with people really well! We recommend that you raise whatever pay she is currently receiving if you want to keep such a cheerful and intelligent person on your staff! Sincerely, Dan PS: The two ladies at the front desk were also very accommodating and along with Claire made our stay really enjoyable!

Excellent location. Staff very helpful. Great bar for sports viewing. Air conditioning was a huge plus and a rarity in Ireland!

The Skeff
We stayed three nights in “The Skeff” in July, 2026. As others note, the location could not be better. Right on the central square in city centre. We could walk just about anywhere.
This is sort of an artsy deco hotel, not a luxury hotel.
The room was adequate, though not large. Bed is very comfortable. Remarkably quiet for a hotel above a bar. Security is very good with access controlled hallways. The room was a bit musty.
The breakfast is ample and good.
The hotel does not offer laundry service, which was a negative for us.
This is sort of an artsy deco hotel, not a luxury hotel.

Great Stay!
Great hotel right in the heart of Galway. Staff were amazing. Rooms and hotel very clean and well appointed. The attached Skeff Bar is a quintessential Irish Pub with nice staff and amazing atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Great trip to Skeffington Arms!!
Love staying at here, very central, has great atmosphere and super friendly!!
