Great stay for a good price

The hotel is situated in a quiet street near Langarh Palace. It has kept an of world charm, but with WiFi ;-). Good bed, hot shower, shower curtain. Very kind staff.

Great Hotel Stay

Everything was great. Our room was very comfortable and clean and the AC was working great and perfect. Everyone was so nice and professional. Breakfast was good. At first glance it doesn’t seem like much but you can order eggs or other things if you like. I loved our stay here.

Well-worth the price.

Had a wonderful time. Spacious rooms, super clean bathroom with good hot water facilities. The food at the Neem Courtyard was delicious. We were well taken care of by friendly staff, particularly Vishal Singh who is also a budding painter. Many thanks to him and the management of Sankhu Niwas

Excellent hotel

Staying at Sankhu Niwas was a very pleasant experience. Authentic atmosphere that makes you appreciate India and Rajastan. The staff is friendly, attentive and reserved. The services offered are of excellent quality, we used the laundry service which was very efficient and punctual at a great price.
The value for money is excellent.

Can be much better

Location is a big plus for this small hotel. Cars can be parked in front and they even provide accommodation for drivers in a nearby guesthouse without any charges. Service was prompt and friendly and all staff we came across were helpful. The common areas are properly maintained except the top open breakfast area. The hotel didn't have a restaurant and staff directed us to a nearby affiliated restaurant for dinner. Hotel do serve breakfast, quality of which was okay.
We had 2 main issues during our stay. The first room (101) assigned to us, had no proper privacy since the curtains were not covering the glass panels of door and windows. Also the bathroom had various issues like water leakage from unknown sources and a big puddle of water just in front of the bathroom door. We got a better room (103) for our second night after talking to reception staff, which didn't have any of the problems of the first room.
The second issue was that the hotel has very limited seating in the covered breakfast area and we had to wait for a long time to get our breakfast. Since it was raining the open top area could not be used.
Apart from the above our overall stay of 2 nights was okay. Both room and bathroom sizes are decent. The slightly mismatched furniture were functional. The showerhead didn't work properly so we had to manage with bucket and mug but it was not much of a problem. Wi-fi was just okay and TV had limited channels. Room had tea/coffee facility but bottled drinking water was chargeable. In fact this is the only hotel during our 16 days tour which charged us for water.
Keeping in mind the very reasonable charges I have to accept that we got mostly what we paid for.
