Just go and experience, you will love it.

I had travelled with my family, 28th Jan to 29th Jan 2026.
It was a true and unforgettable experience at the desert camp. The location, tents, food, ambience and the staff to top it up who all made our stay superb.
It's a family run camp, Our host Obaya was a great person. He made sure everything was perfect, he did it with a personalized touch which is made it lovely. I just loved our transfer back to Jaisalmer in a open Thar Jeep, It was amazing.
Our package included Jeep safari and camel ride as well. We also did Quad biking on the Sam dunes. My daughter and wife just loved it. The Rajasthani cultural program was great. Also our driver Narpat was simply great.
Keep up the good work.
Best wishes

Enjoyable glamping in the dunes

We had a very enjoyable 2 night stay. The people were very helpful, gracious and friendly. Raghu and Sarup were good hosts and Narpat took us on a jeep safari including a peaceful dunes area. The dance and music performance in the evening were interesting. They also had good snacks during the performance. Buffet dinner and breakfast were included. All in all a very unique and enjoyable experience. Thank you!

To be avoided as it has proven to be unreliable.

Even though we booked a long time ago and received confirmation, when we contacted them to inform them of our arrival time, we were told that the establishment was closed and that they were aware of our reservation.
We had no choice but to find a place by chance!
We do not recommend this establishment as it has proven to be unreliable.

Luxury in the desert

While waiting to go back, it's sad leaving such a peaceful and serene place. Quiet, not a lot of crowd. Perfect for someone looking for an immersive, cultural experience, away from the city hustle bustle.
Dunes are closeby. Peacocks are ample. Views are worth every penny.
Not to forget the cultural performance that is put on every evening for the guests, with unlimited snacks and chai.
Special thanks to Maru, OB, and the whole team. For someone who can't eat spicy, yet demands a tasteful experience of Rajasthani food (that is famous for spices and chilly), they took utmost care and provided with fresh home-cooked rajasthani food. Finger licking good Ker Sangri, Gatta Curry.
Never lived in a cleaner and warmer tents.
This place is a luxury at a pretty affordable cost, given it is all inclusive - Food, Views, Cultural Performance, Camel Safari on the dunes, Clean tents and bathrooms - worth every penny.
Looking forward to coming back to this paradise in Thar.

Great desert camping experience near Jaisalmer

Staying at the Helsinki Desert Camp was a very enjoyable experience and I recommend it. If you are looking to do some approachable dessert camping that provides a good escape near Jaisalmer, this is the place. The staff is very warm, welcoming, and helpful. With less than 20 tents, everyone receives great attention and staying here feels very personal. My tent was nice and large, had a comfortable bed, nice seating and a good washroom. Both AC and heat were available and the heater worked very well. The team arranged a sunset camel ride which was great, and the dunes are just a short walk from the gate with lots of nature surrounding the camp. The evening concert was very enjoyable with delicious snacks. Both dinner and breakfast were super tasty. I highly recommend Helsinki Desert Camp!
