Fabulous Place to Stay!
Just got back from a few days in Zillertal after staying at Amalia Haus. The photos and descriptions I'd read don't come close to doing this place justice, its a very clean, modern, roomy apartment block with superb views of the valley from the rooms and big balcony. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, kettle, microwave, fridge/freezer, hob, dishwasher etc along with a good selection of cooking utensils, cutlery & crockery. There's a couple of well stocked mini markets at the bottom of the hill meaning you can do your own catering if you wish.
Modern, spotless bathrooms, spacious living area with dining table & chairs, ample size bedrooms with wardobes, shelving hangers etc.
There's a secure, communal room at the front for storing/drying boots, equipment which was useful.
Its near enough to the village to be able to walk down to the cable car but as the apartments are up a fairly steep winding road it can be slightly hard work following a day on the slopes so we usually took cabs up which cost about 10 euros. (a bit pricey for a short ride but if the driver had to travel over from the next village then I guess its reasonable)
The owner was friendly, attentive and provided good info & communications when we booked and prior to arrival.
There's plenty to read about the area in general so won't go into great detail in this review but I've been skiing for 40 years in Europe, USA and Canada and the mountains, slopes and snow conditions were some of the best Ive come across.
