Fantastic hostel for our one night hopping between Vienna's two Meiningers.

Like it's sister property (Sissi) just a few blocks away, this is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are clean and functional, reception and check-in/out is efficient, and I love staying in these hostels with my family. They are all the good stuff and none of the bad bits that you would expect from staying in a hostel in your mid-40s!! Friendly fellow guests, buzzing atmosphere, lots more freedom than a traditional hotel, and the best part is how all sorts of people and groups stay and mingle. I love it here!
The kitchen/common areas were up to Meiningers usual comfy and functional standards - the kitchen was a little smaller than some we have stayed in, but well equipped.
In terms of the local area - it is slightly away from the city centre, but it is only a 10 minute walk to Taborstrase and Schottenring underground stations, it's 2 mins from several supermarkets, pizza takeaways, restaurants, and the bars and restaurants of Leopoldsgasse.
All in all, it was a great (if not fleeting) stay!

Super hotel!

The room is not particularly large but completely sufficient, very nicely clean and in very good condition, beds are very comfortable, shower was not too small and very pleasantly warm, good connections to public transport, a streetcar right nearby and not far from the subway station (15-minute walk), staff is very, very friendly and there for you 24/7!! Highly recommended

Great Vienna Hotel

Perfect for a short stay when travelling. Its clean and safe and thats what matters!! Its about a 30 min walk to the centre. Only issue is not great ventilation as the windows dont open very far, but other than that its the perfect room for a few nights.

Top 3 Worst Hotels

You cannot ventilate the windows, the beds are uncomfortable and unpleasant. The staff was okay, but some were unfriendly. The breakfast was poor, the eggs were partially rotten, and the rolls were sometimes still frozen in the middle. Overall, a rather bad hotel, not recommended for a pleasant stay.

Attention!!!!!

You cannot ventilate the windows, so this is really completely impossible. Furthermore, the rooms had a poor layout, so there was little space, and the breakfast was disgraceful; sometimes the rolls were not properly baked, and the eggs were slightly rotten. Unfortunately, not recommended.
