Well maintained hotel in the center

Very nice, modern rooms, especially the oriel room 311 is very large, about 40 m2., with large, modern bathroom. A small drop of defensive anger is the noisy window onto Marienplatz. With closed double window but well bearable. Very generous breakfast buffet, very friendly staff.

Friendly, clean and good hotel!

Solid old hotel with very clean rooms. Breakfast buffet was good, very tasty and left nothing to be desired. We felt very comfortable. The ladies at reception were also very friendly and helpful.

Good value for the price

We stayed at the Goldener Strauss one night. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel is located in the centrally, making it easy to walk through the old town.

Nice historic building in excellent location with superb breakfast

Very nice building with excellent location in the historic city center with easy access to all attractions by foot. We had a Comfort Double Room which was spacey and well equipped. Breakfast is a real treat in a nice atmosphere and a service lady being so kind. Parking in a nearby parking house is convenient.

Family stay in Gorlitz

Stayed one night with wife and kid. Room was spacious and warm, nicely decorated and had a 32" LCD screen with cable channels (most of them in german, one in french, one in english). They provided an extra bed for my kid (3yr old) at no cost. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had great variety of options and coffee was very good. Even though the hotel is located in city center, was very silent at night.
