Excellent location
We had a very pleasant stay at Numa Lief. Communication before arrival was clear and efficient, and both check-in and check-out were seamless. Everything operates via pin code, the entrance, lift, and room doors which made us feel extremely safe and secure throughout our stay.
The location is excellent. It’s just a 3 minute walk from Anneessens metro station, and around a 10 minute walk to the city centre with shops, attractions, and the famous Manneken Pis fountain. Very convenient for exploring without needing constant transport.
Our fourth floor room was spacious and well equipped. Amenities included a safe, coffee machine with pods, tea, complimentary chocolate, and bottled water. We especially appreciated the individual toiletries, bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, which felt like a thoughtful touch rather than an afterthought.
There were just a few minor drawbacks. One of the complimentary water bottles had already been used, and unfortunately the refrigerator didn’t function despite the internal light being on and adjusting the temperature dial. The bin in the room was also very small, and the lid was quite awkward to use.
On the plus side, there’s a free gym, laundromat, and microwave in the basement (-2 level), which would be particularly useful for longer stays.
We occasionally heard conversations and plumbing noises late at night, but it was minor and didn’t disturb our sleep.
Overall, a comfortable, secure, and well located base in Brussels with practical amenities. With a few small improvements, it would be excellent.

Avoid
Based on the scores in here, we thought this hotel would be fine for a short stay. We went in early July, staying 3 nights only. Our breakfasts were cancelled by the hotel the day before our stay - and this may have been a blessing.
The room wasn't overly clean - the bin wasn't emptied, there were no sanitary bags and it was dusty everywhere - overall it looked a bit tired and grubby. However, the big problem we had was with the non-existent air conditioning. It led to sleepless nights where the temperature in the room didn't fall below 23.5 degrees... We complained from day one and despite assurances nothing changed during our stay - even though we were told engineers had sorted the problem. We did managed to get a small fan on the last evening which moved the air - but the temperature didn't drop.
We were grateful to leave Numa Lief and won't be returning to the hotel, or using the Numa hotel chain again.

Clean and well kept rooms…..lobby was under construction so no amenities there. Good local location with a great bar next door … cafe bebo

An interesting hotel, no staff, everything done remotely. This has its drawbacks. It says beds made and rubbish removed daily, that didn't happen. Minor issues with shower and basin went unresolved.
