Unique Room and Beautiful Place

We had a very nice 1-night stay in the Sobreiro Suite. The room was a unique open layout just like the pictures show. It was very relaxing and romantic accommodations with a nice view of the vineyard. Checkout was 12p which gave us some time in the morning to enjoy the indoor heated pool and the outdoor sauna. We did not have a chance to do their wine tasting.
I did have trouble booking through their website and had to book via email and then call with my credit card information. Late checkin requires notice and calling them 20 min before arrival so they can arrange for someone to show you to the rooms since they are sprawled across the property.
It was a good value and a nice stop location between Porto and Douro Valley.

Good but below expected

I had very high expectations for the photos and reviews I read on various sites. However, I cannot give a 5 due to various aspects. The room was really beautiful, spacious and clean. The view was a disappointment... we had a part of a beautiful view for vineyards yes but our balcony was in front of a “terrace” in works... going to the balcony we were on a terrace still under construction with cement and rolled roofs. Breakfast was a very boring problem. They said they were serving breakfast between 9:00 and 9:30. We woke up early, it was 9am and we were ready so that as soon as the food arrived, we could take the meal and go enjoy the “cedo” pool, before check-out. We called, they apologized. It was 10:00 when they delivered breakfast. As soon as we opened the basket we realized that that was not the request we had made the day before when they asked about restrictions and preferences. They changed things and it was already 10:10. The croissants were no longer hot or the bread due to the process delay. We understand that mistakes happen but it was really annoying because we wanted to enjoy the rest of the stay calmly, in the pool and with all these bumps we ended up not being able to do it. For the amount we paid we expected more care and attention.

Splendid!

We are a fan of good bed and good table.. in this idyllic space we find the calm, the silence, where it seems that time does not pass!
For the region of green wines, this amazing space where it gives the will to live!
The breakfasts are fantastic.. we chose to order the meals at the restaurant Coimbra and we can only reference for excellent quality and quantity!!
The housing is superb everything properly clean and cozy!
We've become fans of the nut bread, the wine, the fantastic people who are around this space.
Let's go back without a doubt .. a good wish to all by Excellent space and services!!
