Superb quiet hotel in a temperate equatorial valley
A very nice hotel in this area.
The rooms are very spacious and pleasant.
Some downsides in terms of water availability but the whole is very satisfactory.
Watch out for the restoration sometimes a little slow.
Choose local beers over wines that are very uncertain about availability and preservation.

Disappointing Experience
My recent stay at Vallée de Bana Hotel left much to be desired, and unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. Despite its purported status as a Four-Star establishment, several glaring issues marred what should have been a pleasant stay.
First and foremost, the exorbitant room rate was wholly unjustified given the quality of accommodations provided. Not only was the room uncomfortable, but it also lacked basic amenities expected of a hotel of this caliber. The absence of shampoo, with only shower gel provided, was a notable disappointment and indicative of a lack of attention to detail.
The breakfast offerings were abysmal, with a notable lack of quality in both the bread and viennoiseries provided. This subpar dining experience was not in line with the standards one would expect from a purportedly upscale establishment.
Perhaps the most concerning issue was the lack of a backup generator, particularly given the frequent power cuts experienced during my stay. This not only inconvenienced guests but also posed a safety risk, particularly for those whose rooms were situated far from the reception area. The inability to contact reception during such instances further exacerbated the situation, leaving guests feeling vulnerable and helpless.
In summary, Vallée de Bana Hotel failed to deliver on its promise of luxury and comfort. Despite the welcoming demeanor of the staff, the numerous shortcomings – from the inadequate room amenities to the lack of power backup – overshadowed any positive aspects of the stay. For those considering accommodations in the area, I would caution against placing undue trust in the purported four-star rating of this establishment.

Lovely spot
We were there in Summer 2022. This is a lovely place, the people were very kind and thoughtful. I had a sore throat and they brought amazing ginger tea!
This would be a great place for a business retreat. There were few guests, though, and not everything was fully functioning, like the massage place, getting rackets for table tennis. They need to put chlorine in their pool. They clean it constantly and it is beautiful, but it is unchlorinated, seems more like fresh water (pond water) than pool water.

End of year at Hotel Residence LA Vallée de Bana, Cameroon
Cozy and relaxing area nested among the hills and surrounded by a beautiful green fence of trees.
The resort has a swimming pool, a restaurant and dancing club as well as a Haman/sauna, tennis play ground. Accommodation is organised in multiple bungalows surrounded by a luxurious vegetation.Local food served not too bad.

Nice hotel but not a great location
This is a good Hotel, but theres not a whole lot in the area. If you need a place to stay in Bafang/Bana for some reason, then yes by all means this is the best spot you'll find, but if you are looking for a destination resort this isn't it.
The staff was friendly and helpful. If you drive they will wash your car for you, and I appreciate the little things like that.
The rooms are one room mini-villas that were quite comfortable. Some of the showers weren't functioning 100% and at least one room didn't have hot water, but we didn't notice until the morning so there was no chance for them to fix it.
The pool is beautiful, very clean, and has a great view looking up the valley. This is the hotel's best feature I think. The rest of the grounds were well landscaped and added to the ambiance.
