Resort with an impressive history!

Tin Wis is a resort with a special and impressive history! This can also be found in various places on the resort.
The resort is in a beautiful location on the beach! The resort has a restaurant where you can eat well. There is also a kind of take away tent at the campsite with burgers and fish and chips. Here you also have a number of seats.
Room was fine. Cleaning could have been a little better, especially the floor still contained a lot of dirt. Beds are good.
Also a pleasant shower, with a glass wall instead of a shower curtain as in many places.
Staff are friendly and welcoming.
In the lobby of the hotel there is a coffee and tea facility where you can tap it yourself (free of charge). There is also a water point to fill your drinking bottle or grab a cup of water.
There are several trails in the area. Highly recommended is the Rainforest Trail. Not very long (about 1.2km) but very beautiful!

Gee Wis

Along the main highway is this beautifully situated holiday resort . Lovely room with comfortable beds. The room has plenty of storage for clothes, a bug bear of mine. Great Nespresso coffee & tea making facilities to sit on the balcony overlooking the serenity of the sea & beach. Breakfast is a well stocked buffet, however the usual North American excuse for coffee is served. Loved the well equipped, spotless gym. Browns restaurant’s service, however the food is variable. Served pizzas one night that were cold, however the manager couldn’t have done more to help. Was very apologetic, reduced the price & steaming hot pizzas came in a jiffy.
We wanted a restful 5 days at the end of our Rockies road trip to unwind & Tin Wis provided this in bucket loads. Our new haven if only London UK was nearby.

Good, more upscale Bestwestern in Tofino

Bestwestern Plus Tin Wis Resort is a nice, newer and more upscale Bestwestern with beach access. Our room, like most other rooms, had a private balcony and view of the Pacific Ocean views. Front desk check-in was a breeze and the staff were helpful with suggestions for places to visit, including whalewatching in Tofino. Our room came with a King bed (with very comfortable cotton bedsheets and down comforters), and sofa bed, and the bathroom had more upscale amenities than regular Bestweatern (Pharmacopia shampoo, conditioner, and skin lotion). There was a laundry room with large washing machines and dryers. Complementary hot and cold breakfast in the hotel's restaurant, included a wide range of food – pastries, breads, jams & butter, several cereals, instant oats, yogurt parfait with fruit, bacon and sausages, fruits (bananas, apples), hardboiled egg and vegetarian burritos.

$375 a night? Mould in shower. Tiny, cramped room. Rude staff

Booked and paid 10 weeks previous with request for nice rooms, as we were celebrating a wedding anniversary and a birthday. We were given a tiny, dark, lower level room with minimal ocean view. Cramped bathroom. "Kitchenette" was a box with no sink. Mould on the shower ceiling. Called after 3;45pm check in to ask for better room. Was told "we're full" and "complain to Booking." Not worth $375 a night.

Nice resort, all rooms have a beach view which we loved. Staff were mostly friendly and rooms were clean and adequate. Breakfast is very mediocre but it’s free; nice happy hour and good drinks. Super convenient to Tofino and Ucluelet, we enjoyed ourselves.
