Great for traveling incognito.

There's no lobby and the single front door has an armed guard 24/7. Shift change is 6 & 6.Tip'em. There's no room service, just breakfast. Which is a no frills Colombian breakfast. Arepa, huevos, instant coffee and a whole un-peeled specimen of local fruit. They might make you pancakes but don't het crazy. Colombians never heard of an Ihop. The hotel is in the center of the action when it comes to night life. The hot salsa joints are a 5 minute cab-ride away. You can walk around the neighborhood and find world class dining and drinking. Don't walk south of la quinta (fifth avenue). Take a taxi at that point. Ask your hotel people if they know a taxi driver that you can hire by the hour. They'll take you wherever and wait for you while you eat & shop and stuff. That sort of thing shouldn't cost more than tennish dollars an hour. Make sure you know what room you're staying in. There's only two suites with a hammock & a view. The rest of the rooms are what you find in monasteries turned boutique hotel. They keep the fridge stocked with the best beer and aguardiente. Antigua Contemporánea, one of the best restaurants in the city, is just around the corner. Ask Giovanni if he can make you dinner reservations in advance. Platillos Voladores is also a fine place to enjoy exotic local cuisine. If you want to try a traditional Colombian steak house, try Simón Parrilla. Colombians actually butcher cows differently, and they have a steak called 'baby beef', which doesn't exist in the states. If you like steak, don't leave Cali without trying one blue.

Great visit

The staff was very accommodating. Ended up paying extra to get upgraded to the largest suite, definitely worth it. Housekeeping was amazing along with the breakfast each day. The door guys were awesome, we felt very safe staying there. Great area, you can walk to almost everywhere. Thank you so much!

Nice hotel in a great area

Our hotel room turned out to be a suite with a living room and kitchenette. The staff was excellent, and so friendly and helpful. They barely speak English, so even some Spanish would be helpful. They bring an excellent full breakfast to your room. The downside is it is very old and poorly lit. They have a very nice driver, named William, who we used for many rides at a reasonable price.

Beautiful Hotel, excellent Service

The hotel is in a very typical part of town, very old town and traditional looking, but once you get inside the hotel is extremely modern and comfortable. It is a very calm environment, safe surroundings and a short walk away from places to eat, short and cheap uber ride everywhere. Definitely an easy access, no getting lost. The receptionist (Santiago) was extremly helpful and knowledgeable about the surroundings and city activities. Everyone was very nice, felt right at home! Food (especially breakfast) was delicious!

Amazing, amazing, and more amazing

We stayed at the Hotel Colina de San Antonio for the first time in early May, and our experience was amazing. The hotel is located close to a lot of restaurants and tourist areas. Especially for the price, our suite was absolutely huge. It had 1.5 bathrooms, a jacuzzi, three sitting areas, a gigantic bed, a huge kitchen, and a walk-in closet. The staff was amazingly helpful. We loved everything about our stay here and will be back ASAP.
