Absolutely Lovely Hotel

This is a lovely hotel very close to many attractions. The room we had was huge, with a separate entrance hallway, very large bathroom, and gorgeous hand painted beamed ceiling.
We usually stay in 4-5* hotels, but this hotel was beyond MY expectations of a 3*
The staff were incredibly friendly, the breakfast was enjoyable.
We had a truly fantastic meal in the restaurant, with authentic Czech meals, our first night there.
The only downside was the shower didn't have a curtain, and water was all over the floor. However they quickly brought us towels to mop it up. There was a kettle in the room with tea/coffee and 2 bottles of water free. Many 4-5* hotels charge gor the water.
I was very happy with all aspects of this hotel, and would absolutely stay there again.

Doesn’t deliver

The hotel promises a bar and restaurant open until 21.00 but the girl at reception has just informed us she can’t remember it ever being open and it is for breakfast only!!
How can it renege on a bar??
The room is perfectly adequate but no shower even above the bath.
Oh dear.

Not very focused on their customers

Hotel is showing it’s age. Room I was in had a terrible hard bed. Carpet was stained. No tissue in the room.
Breakfast was poor. No coffee available. No one ever even came in to ask if there was anything they could do for breakfast. I would not recommend.

I note there have been no reviews of this hotel since 2016 and it doesn't seem standards have been sustained in the meantime. Our room was adequate, rather bare, and the beds hard. Bathroom was OK, with good water pressure in the shower (although a tiny corner shower stall as in many Czech hotels). Breakfast selection was disappointing and for most of the time items were not refreshed if they ran out during breakfast. In general the staff was pleasant, but not much in evidence except for check-in and check-out. The hotel has two big pluses - an elevator, useful for those with limited mobility, and a parking lot at the back, although street parking is fairly plentiful and cheap in Kutna Hora.

Great little hotel

A fine example of a boutique hotel.
Much used by the locals, there was a wedding reception the night we arrived.
No complaints about any noise, the music stopped at 1130.
The rooms are a mixture of ancient and modern, with plenty of room. Our room was at the front of the building and more of a suite that a room. I understand the more modern rooms are equally spacious.
What a lovely and quiet town even on a Saturday night. The triple glazing helps as well,
The most noise was from vehicles driving over the cobble stones.
Who need speed bumps, install cobbles.
