Great People and Facilities in Charity Organization’s Hotel

It was simply great to stay in Marianeum. Staff is very friendly and collaborative, room is very well organized, location is one the best location which is very close to -10 min on foot to main square of Prague but the most important side for me is It is a CHARITY organization’s hotel and your stay will support people who needs help. Your stay will help to people, It is lovely feeling and thats why It was my pleasure to stay. I definitely recommend It and I am sure you will feel helpful and full of heart around. Fully recommended ;)

Nice area, basic accom - and definitely way too overpriced!

To be really honest: I have been there already a few times and the accommodation is located in a very nice area and the rooms are clean, BUT the prices are already ridiculous. I know and understand that this whole package has somehow a charity character and money will be donated, but if you ask for a really basic (but yes: clean) room for 70, 80, 100 euros a night, then something is going wrong. Then you have a Robin Hood Syndrome were you exploit customers/travellers to give the money to poor people. And I think it is partly okay, if you are doing this. But you shouldn't forget that not ALL guests are rich (btw a rich person wouldn't book your rooms) and so the room rates are definitely overpriced. Around 40 Euros would be okay, maybe sometimes 50, but to ask for 80 or even 100 is for me a reason NOT to book there again. There are old carpets, the accommodation has hospital charme and you need to check out until 10 a.m, like in the 1980s. Sorry but 80 or 100 Euros - no way. Tschüss!

GOOD HOTEL

This hotel was slightly out from the main city centre which is good for some peice and quite. room was good size for one with private bathroom that is clean. Breakfast was good as well and Hotel manager helpful and accommodating.

Good Location

It is kind of a guesthouse. Not a hotel. Good for group travellers, students and conference members. Very cheap for Prague with good location (close to metro and town center) and clean single rooms. No Restaurant or bar, but common kitchen.

Very bad service!

We came here yesterday afternoon at 6.15 pm, after they told us twice to be there before 6.30pm for the check in.
We arrived on time, we came in the hotel and the receptionist (very bad English for being a receptionist) informed us that the room was not available, so we had to decide if we wanted to stay in different rooms for the same price of the reservation.
We said absolutely not! Not just for the rooms, but cause in the meantime they wrote us to be on time, they could also write that things have changed! I wouldn't recommend it!
