Upscale cocktails in Playa Grande

We went for happy hour which was a great deal and the food and drinks were fantastic. I had the Jamaica Mezcal Margarita and my wife had some Sav Blanc by the glass. The chicken nachos were tasty.
It's pretty fancy compared to the other places in the area. They have a lot of TVs with games on and sometimes live music.

5 star Happy Hour Vibes

Strolled in for happy hour looking for a drink and a bite. Staff was professional, friendly and atmosphere was as expected. Chill vibes, relaxing and plenty of variety on the menu. We were also lucky enough to hear some great live music while enjoying our dinner and fresh cocktails. A bonus on a Tuesday night in low season! We enjoyed chatting with the lovely Argentinian owner at the bar and learned why this place is so special. Hands on management and bilingual staff. Will definitely return this week and each visit to Playa Grande.

Whole fish snapper!

This was our second trip to the Rip Jack but our first after their newly built restaurant. If you are in Playa Grande, traverse the bumpy road long enough to eat here. This establishment is beautiful, clean and delicious. I had the whole fish snapper and tuna tower. The tuna tower was a little different just because it was Costa Rica, not Asian. It was delicious. The service was a little slow, but we were a large group (14). It was raining like I had never seen before and they were very gracious as we were late for our reservation. Outstanding restaurant!

Wonderful food and drink

Great restaurant space and amazing food and cocktails! The number of televisions also makes Rip Jack's a perfect space to watch the Sunday football games. There's frequently live music on certain nights as well as drink and menu specials.
