Hostel Rijeka

Renovated in 2013 at a central location on the Korzo promenade, Hostel Rijeka offers air-conditioned rooms and dormitories equipped with lockers and free Wi-Fi. There is a grocery shop on site and many bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The hostel has a shared kitchen area equipped with a toaster, fridge, microwave and kitchenware. Guests can relax on the shared terrace or in the lounge area with LCD satellite TV. Ironing facilities can be used upon request. Public buses stop just 50 metres away and provide connections to other parts of town, while the Main Bus Station is only 300 metres away. The ferry port is 350 metres from the Rijeka Hostel. OK

It’s cheap, basic, central but perfectly OK. Nothing to complain about! If that’s what your budget and criteria are then you won’t go far wrong here. It ain’t luxury though! It’s a good base for a Rijeka trip.

Third Times The Charm

During my more than four months in Europe in 2017 and '18, I had the pleasure of staying at the Hostel Rijeka on three different occasions. This perfectly located hostel, in the heart of Rijeka, exceeded all of my expectations. The staff and owners are really helpful. It was really clean and comfortable. The hostel is located just 300 meters from a main bus station. I returned again for two days this summer as well (3 days fall '18). Still a consistently great place.

Hotel in the center of Ri

Very nice place, in the center of Rijeka.
Clean, cosy and allways there to take care of you if you want to avoid cars and traffic.
A little kitchen with fresh food for your breackfast, do it yourself coffe and tea...

I would come back in a heartbeat!

Great location! Quiet hostel with the greatest receptionist in the world - Marko!
I never got so many tips and help from a hostel receptionist before! He went above and beyond to help me out!
The only downside is that the hostel is on the second floor without elevator :( but it does have a nice view on the main walking street!

Basic conditions and nice personnel

I spent 3 nights in Hostel Rijeka recently and was quite content with the conditions, content with the kin personnel and excellent location in Rijeka main pedestrian street - Korzo, which suited my transfer to locations of the programs I took part very well. Nevertheless, the private room I was in had only shower, not toilet and breakfast was not included for a solid price of 830 kunas for 3 nights (around 100 EUR). Nevertheless, my stay was pleasant and I recommend it to travellers who could climb to the high third floor and do not mind sharing with other guests. The building in which the Hostel is located is built in 1885 and though very beautiful needs some refurbishing.
