Good choice if you need to be near Northeastern, nice hotel, too expensive parking

This hotel is near a sketchy neighborhood, but we had no issues walking around (albeit not late at night). Rooms are nice, new-ish, well appointed and roomy. Lobby is great, gym well stocked (although it needed cleaning). Front desk experience was saved by Elizabeth who was SUPER helpful when we needed it most. Otherwise, front desk people were unfriendly--one on our last day couldn't even bother to actually open her mouth and make sound when I came to get my cardkey updated. Otherwise a good experience. HINT: they charge a ridiculous $55 a night for parking. We found a spothero spot a 8 minute walk away for about half that price.

Wow the valet service is rough

As a Marriott platinum member this is the single worst Marriott I’ve ever stayed at. It’s not because of the staff or the hotel is dingy or anything like that, it’s because of the valet company they outsourced to. The parking lot is literally right outside of the hotel, but according to the valet policy you literally aren’t allowed access to your car without them pulling it up. Half the time there’s 3+ people already waiting so be prepared to wait 10 minutes to grab something from your car. When asked they said it was for liability reasons. “You could get drunk and when you’re out there decide to try to leave and scratch someone’s car”. I said alright how about the valet stands outside and unlocks my car and keeps the key. “Nope still a liability issue”. Are we serious? I’m paying 4 grand for 2 weeks at this place and I’m not allowed access to my car outside. This is as of 2026. I know it sounds nitpicky but I’m so annoyed if there was a Hilton equivalent available this late I was considering switching hotels

Clean room with great air conditioning. Kitchen had a few nice touches like salt and pepper and an empty jug for water. Nice size with a place to eat and separate couch area. Nice breakfast spread with different hot dishes each day.

Great customer service

I had booked a stay while attending a conference in downtown Boston and wanted to walk back and forth several times a day. I didn't realize that it ended up being a 30 min walk and I was able to find a hotel much closer at the last minute. Elizabeth, who was working at the desk was super kind and canceled my reservation without a charge. She also offered me water after a hot walk and I really appreciated her attentiveness and care.
