Great Place to Stay

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was pretty affordable. My flight arrived a bit early, so I decided to go to the hotel, and they were able to let me check in a bit early. The rooms are clean and seem recently renovated, but theme in the room really sets the atmosphere. Location is pretty close to the beach as well as the Waikiki trolley, buses, and several food options. There were also free Hawaii based snacks provided in the room when I went, including chips and drinks. The only drawback was noise level from bar/restaurants outside in the evenings, as well as the walls not being super thick, but really wasn’t that noticeable. Would definitely look to stay again!

roaches in room

generally not comfortable. room has a vibe of being not quite clean. old dirty carpet. some kind of spilled food or liquid is caked on the front of the fridge.
then a roach walked across the desk and for me that was the final straw. i’m looking for another hotel to leave this place asap.

I wouldn't say this place was either amazing or terrible, it's fine.
I wasn't told about any of the facilities on check in which woukd have been helpful as I've been on the road for few weeks and forgot what the hotel had.
Be aware than when it days laundry facilities it's not a guest laundry, tgey send you clothes out and it is per piece pricing.
I found the coffee one morning, but still no idea where the still and sparkling water was, or indeed the swimming pool. Paper cups and tea/coffee were not replaced for my second night.
Good location.
The Hotels.com VIP perk of a bottle of wine was not offered, but igot $5 off tge restaurant next door. This was unfortunate as I coukd not use thus but would have had the wine.

THEEE BEST LOCATION!! I am single female traveling solo. Right outside the hotel happens to be THE LOCATION for the pick up for the excursions. Also a very walkable area for restaurants, shops and the beach.

terrifying experience

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.
During my stay, there was a significant police incident involving the room next to mine. In the early morning hours, there was repeated shouting, loud commotion, and officers pounding on the neighboring door. As a guest staying immediately next door, it was a frightening and unsettling experience, especially not knowing what was happening or whether there was any danger.
I understand that the hotel did not cause the incident. My disappointment stems from how it was handled afterward.
When I approached the front desk and manager the following morning, there was no acknowledgment of the disruption or concern for the guests affected. A simple apology or expression of empathy would have gone a long way. Instead, the conversation focused solely on the fact that no refund would be provided.
I later reached out directly to the General Manager by both email and text message and did not receive a response.
While unexpected situations can happen anywhere, hospitality is demonstrated by how guests are treated when those situations occur. Unfortunately, I left feeling dismissed rather than cared for.
There are many hotel options in the area. Based on my experience, I would choose one of those instead.
