Great Property, Poor Execution

While the hotel property is lovely, several service issues ruined our stay. Immediately upon checking in, we noticed a pungent smell of marijuana in our hallway. Our visit to the hotel bar was even more frustrating. Despite the display of decorative bottles, the bar doesn't actually craft drinks, they use a Bartesian machine and pods, even for an Old Fashioned. The drinks were watery, overpriced, and frankly undrinkable. We left ours after a single sip, but were still charged full price. When we spoke to the receptionist, the response was dismissive, telling us we should have simply asked for a different drink. It’s a shame to have such a poor bar and service experience at an otherwise nice hotel.

The images referenced are not of our bar, and we do not use drink machines or pods—our cocktails are made from scratch by our bartenders. Because of these discrepancies, we respectfully believe this review may have been intended for a different property.

Great hotel in Houston area

Fantastic stay at this newly renovated hotel. The facility was very clean, centrally located to all the places on our itinerary. The staff was very attentive, friendly and professional. I reported an issue regarding my room and it was rectified expeditiously.
I would certainly stay at this hotel again whenever I am in the Houston area again.

The staff was courteous and helpful and check-in was a breeze! Room was very clean. Bed and pillows were only about 3 stars, but hotel and staff are overall very nice!

The front desk staff and the Bistro staff were very friendly and customer focused. Breakfast option are limited compared to places that offer an "all you can eat" free breakfast, but the quality of the food was good. Everything we ate was very tasty. The ambiance of the hotel was great. The lobby has lots of sitting options and televisions so your small group can gather comfortably. It's clean and modern and comfy. The only issue I experienced was a squeaky bed. I think the bed sits on springs and every time I moved, my bed squeaked fairly loudly. Other than that, all was perfect!
