Room had lots of towels helpful at the beach location couldnt have been better they let mea check in 2 hrs early couldn't expect much more from a hotel at this price

Reserved for a birthday week and only stayed for 2 hours. My room was on the 7th floor, elevator only went to 6th floor, so had to take 2 flights of stairs to get to my room with all my luggage. Walked in the room and about fainted: carpet looked dirty, refrigerator freezer blocked w/ice, toilet paper holder hanging from wall, room smelled, and overall was not a place I wanted to lay my head!!!
I sat on the very edge of the bed (all luggage off the floor) and cried while calling Hotel.com where I booked. They assisted w/canceling the reservation and getting a speedy refund. The hotel charged me for 1 night hotel and resort fee (resort where?) when I only stayed there long enough to cancel and make reservation somewhere else. The hotel offered for me to spend the night and they would put me in another room the next day. Not a chance. I was not going to sleep on that linen and take a chance of being stuck in that room or hotel!!! So I had to take my luggage down 2 flights of stairs to get to the elevator on the 6th floor!! A young man saw me struggling with my luggage and assisted me all the way to my vehicle. This place is a run down dump -- run, don't walk from it!!!!! In all my years of traveling, visiting Myrtle Beach, and choosing decent places to stay, this has been the absolute worst. The advertisement they use for this place is false, not accurate, and deceitful.
Again, run!!!!!!,

The room was musty, the air condition was full of dust, pools were full of sand inside & outside,outside the pool even had green algae on the walls, beds were hard as bricks, parking was terrible,worst trip to Myrtle Beach ever, wouldn't refer anyone to stay at Ocean Plaza,I know I'm not going to stay there again.

The room was clean. The indoor pool and hot tub area left a lot to be desired. It did not look like the pictures. Some of the staff was very helpful some were not so much. We had a side view room i could see the beach and hear the waves.

Rooms where clean but had an old funky smell, the staff was little to rude and there was only one staff at the checking time when there was more then 6 people waiting to check in. The beach view is super nice and is right there. The outdoor pool needs it a little bit of TLC. Just know that the motel had extra charge if you are 21-24 years old for each people
