The Big Easy

The entire staff was accommodating and friendly. The location is central to everywhere we went. And the historic significance of the building is a truly amazing story.

Great time at Dew Drop Inn

My time at the Dew Drop was outstanding. From the front desk staff, housekeeper, bar staff, and general manager everyone provided excellent customer service. Spent all day Saturday at the pool with my friends for my birthday and it was just lovely. The pool and surrounding area was clean with plenty of comfortable seating. And the bed was so comfortable that I slept like a baby. Looking forward to returning.

The staff was great. The location was ideal. The neighborhood quiet. The hotel was cute and themed based off the history of this iconic hotel. The listed read like all the rooms had a mini fridge, they did not. That would be a great addition. There was definitely room for one. This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Regarding the staff, it depended on who was at the front desk. We had a few great ones and then we had to sever terrible ones. The property was not well maintained. It was in a very bad side of town. I felt like I was duped from their ratings and from the hotel.com ratings.
They had no refrigerator or microwave in any of the rooms. They also had no ice machines. So you would have to go downstairs to the front desk and ask them if they could fill up an ice bucket or a cooler.
The pool was very small and dirty. I wouldn’t stick my toes in it let alone swim.
The only thing positive I would say about the Dew Drop Inn was the room was clean, but they never came back to clean it any other day except the day that you checked in.

Such a great stay location in New Orleans!

Had the pleasure of spending days at Dew Drop Inn and I can’t wait to go back! After hearing people discourage because of location and neighborhood, I’m glad I experienced it for myself. The place is chic, has rich history, the hospitality is wonderful and I love that it’s a hotel + music venue all in one. I felt totally safe there during my visit!
