Beautiful Property, but a Stay Full of Surprises
What was surprising was that there was no mention of the renovation during check-in. We actually had to ask why we hadn’t been informed. We were told that guests had been contacted about the renovation, but after checking our emails, we couldn’t find any notification or communication regarding the construction prior to our arrival.
Hazel at the front desk immediately stepped in, apologized that we hadn’t been informed, and offered to upgrade us to a poolside suite. That was a very thoughtful gesture and one we genuinely appreciated.
We also experienced slower service during our stay and weren’t sure if it was due to lighter staffing during the slower season, the ongoing renovation, or a combination of both. There were noticeable delays with several requests, including multiple occasions when we called for room service and had to wait for a return call, as well as delays with housekeeping. These service issues did impact the overall experience.
The Wi-Fi was also pretty spotty, and the mosquitoes were definitely active around the property, so bring your bug spray!
Adding to the list of little hiccups, all three of our room keys stopped working on the second night, which was definitely inconvenient.
The Parker is a beautiful property, and we were looking forward to seeing it once the renovations are completed. Unfortunately, though, the overall experience this time around didn’t leave us with a strong enough impression to make us want to return. Hopefully, once the renovation is complete and the hotel is fully operational again, it will feel more like the Parker experience we were expecting.

We recognize that our current beautification efforts have shifted some of the estate's rhythm, including the temporary dining location, and we understand this created a different experience than the one you anticipated. Wayfinding across the property is something we are actively reviewing, and your feedback on this point is genuinely useful to us as we look at how guests move between buildings.
