I was excited about the excellent Hotels.com rating. From the second we arrived, I was disappointed and am still not sure how they got that rating.
We just barely made it there during the office hours, pulling in around 10pm local time. It was very inconvenient for the front desk person that we were there, but she was polite and got us checked in and explained how to find our rooms. The property was EXTREMELY dated and worn. The pictures make it look like a nice motel. The reviews sounded warm and welcoming and clean. In reality it was likely a very nice hotel in 1986 but has not been maintained since then. It had been cleaned but not professionally cleaned (edges and corners not vacuumed, found a random key card in the bedding, mold on the wall, etc). Maybe we caught the staff on a bad evening, I only with one staff person and it was late at night, so likely other reviews about friendly and helpful staff are accurate.
If you are looking for a no-questions-asked, pay-with-cash if you want, super cheap place to stay for the night and you are not concerned with security (exterior doors did not lock, or even close completely) - this is for you. If you are looking for something that meets or exceeds Travelodge/Motel 6/Super 8 standards, this is not for you. The rooms were big, and the fridge and microwave added convenience, but I plan to try other hotels in the area before going back. They provide for a need. I'm reviewing so others are not surprised and disappointed as I was.

Can’t photograph a terrible smell, thank God!
There was an intense and terrible odor throughout the hotel. The room smelled of Stale cigarettes/Musty/mold and bug spray. When I checked in I could see an industrial fan in the hallway so I assumed there had been a flood by the front desk. My room was around back so I’d hoped it would be better. It was not. My mother and I opened the door and realized the odor was making us nauseous and ill. We checked out and stayed elsewhere. The mgr would not refund our money even though we were only there 5 minutes. It was also filthy. I’ve travelled extensively and stayed in some dives, this one ranks as one of the worst.

Dead insects everywhere in the room, dirty sheets, dirty fridge, black specks in the sheets (which is a sign of bedbugs, though I only saw dead insects on the floor). One of the doors kitty-corner to me had been busted open and wasn't sealed off or fixed. Left to find another place to stay for the night.

The light switch as you enter room #203 needs to be fixed. It worked about half the time that you tried to use it. It was not a very good first impression.

It makes me sad to say this because I have stayed at this hotel for years and never had a problem. However, after this experience I will not in the future. Front desk help could not have been any more annoyed by my checking in, room was dirty, hair on the shower curtain, dead bugs on the floor, stained sheets, it was not a relaxing experience. Unfortunately this hotel has really gone down hill and even with the low cost isn’t worth it to me moving forward. I used to consider this my hidden gem in Pratt but after this experience I just won’t do it again.
