vas Grand Canyon: Part of the Adventure
Our stay at Under Canvas Grand Canyon was one of the highlights of our Southwest trip. After spending the day hiking and exploring one of the world’s great natural wonders, returning to camp each evening felt like a destination in itself.
The tent was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. It gave us the feeling of camping without sacrificing the comforts that make a vacation enjoyable. Falling asleep to the sounds of nature and waking to the soft morning light coming through the canvas was an experience we won’t soon forget.
The food was another pleasant surprise. We expected simple camp fare, but every meal we had was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. Whether we were starting the day with breakfast or relaxing over dinner after a long day at the Grand Canyon, the quality exceeded our expectations. It was one more detail that made the entire experience feel special.
What really made the stay memorable was the atmosphere. Jennifer and I enjoyed spending the evening around the campfire, making s’mores, listening to live music, and talking with other travelers who had come from all over the country. It felt relaxed, unhurried, and refreshingly genuine. Once the music ended, we looked up to an incredible night sky filled with stars. Living in New Jersey, it’s easy to forget just how spectacular the sky can be when you’re far from city lights.
The staff deserves special recognition. Everyone we met was friendly, welcoming, and eager to make sure guests had everything they needed. Their enthusiasm added to an experience that already felt unique.
If you’re visiting the Grand Canyon, I highly recommend spending at least one night at Under Canvas Grand Canyon instead of another chain hotel. It’s more than a place to sleep. It’s part of the adventure. We’ll definitely be back the next time our travels bring us to northern Arizona.

Under Canvas who knew - A+++++++
Our first stay at Under Canvas was so amazing. Great atmosphere - it was clean and the tent was stocked with everything we needed. We had a Stargazer tent with a private bathroom, but did check out the “group” bathrooms which were so nice and I wouldn’t hesitate to book one in the future. Staff is AMAZING and went out of their way in all interactions to make us feel welcome. Have to shout out Leo who was not only kind and helpful, but just an absolute joy! We loved him! Thanks for a wonderful weekend and we will be back️ Forgot to mention the food, drinks, treats in the common area tent and fantastic fire pits for lounging outside - all worth every penny!

This place was nice, the staff was super nice and helpful. The bed was amazing best sleep. It was fun and so relaxing. Loved it.

Stargazer tent for the win!
We booked the Stargazer tent and loved it! By the light of day, I was a little unsure about how well we would be able to see the stars. Night fell and the view was incredible both outdoors and in! We only had time to stay for one night, and I wish we could have stayed longer! We enjoyed our stay and would love to visit other locations as well in future!
