This was our second stay at the Cambria in the DC Navy Yard. The hotel was safe, provided valet parking, and had a lovely Bar/excellent Breakfast restaurant. Staff were exceptional including Chris in the restaurant. Stronger water pressure in the sink would have been helpful, but the shower was great.
The Cambria is located in the heart of two sports stadiums and the renovated area full of great eateries. It is a very walkable area! Enjoy your stay!

Large room, helpful staff, can’t beat the convenience to Nats Park. Our AC wasn’t functioning properly so they sent someone up to take a look right away. It was working well for a few hours then had same issue with turning on for thirty seconds then turning off. It was a hot night and it was frustrating to not sleep well because of the AC issue.

Horrible. They charge FALSE vaping fees

Horrible horrible experience. I never leave reviews, but being basically called a liar from the front office manager has me steaming. We have been staying here consistently for the last 2/3 years any time we come to DC. We decided to stay here again for my birthday for a couple of days. Yesterday at around 9 pm when we returned from dinner, we had security banging on our door saying that we were smoking/vaping in the room. (Neither of us vape) we invited security in and told him if he wanted to check and he declined. We went up to the front desk to clear up the issue. They told us to speak to a manager in the morning. We went to the front desk again this morning to resolve the issue and let them know about what happened. We spoke with Alex Maldonado, the front office manager and he couldn’t have handled it any more poorly. We informed him that neither of us vape and that the smoke sensors were giving a false report. He told me “yeah everyone tries to say that.” He stated that the sensors do pick up aerosol sprays, flat irons, etc. I let him know that I did use a hot hair dryer curler that’s meant to do blow outs for hair for a while while getting ready for breakfast, and that that could’ve been the issue (it has set the smoke detector off in my house before) I tried explaining that to him and we basically had a conversation that summed up to me being a liar. Now they want us to pay a $250 or something fee for something THAT WE DID NOT DO. Being labeled a liar on top of that has made my blood boil. Do not do not come here. They want to charge you bogus vaping fees and the manager is absolutely no help. We’ll continue to dispute the charge, but had to warn everyone. This used to always be our choice of hotel whenever we’re in DC and we used to recommend it to everyone, now we’ve got to circle back to everybody and let them know to never choose this hotel. We will never come back. Thanks Cambria DC for ruining my birthday.
