Villa Saint George, sheer pleasure!

We had a great stay at Villa Saint George during our stay in Kathikas, Cyprus on my husband's family reunion. Tastefully decorated, well equipped in every aspect. The bed was a tad squeeky, but clean and comfortable. The Villa was beautiful, spotlessly clean and not a trace of dirt insight.The Villa and Service was top notch. Housekeeping came along regulary to bring clean linen and to clean! Our villa had a spiral staircase taking you to the upper level and bedroom with beautiful ensuite and balcony. The spiral staircase could be a huge challenge if you have a physical disability. However, the opposite villa has an inside spiral and outside stairs that also takes you to the upper level and is a family villa. We loved sitting out on the balcony in the morning and evening enjoying a cuppa greek coffee. It was the perfect little villa in a quaint rustic Greek Cypriot village.The villa is perfectly situated in walking distance from all the village restaurants and coffee spots. And the locals were absolutely inviting! You are in for a Greek feast each time you step into a restaurant. Giannis Tavern is a stone throw away from the villa and our favourite spot for evening Meze! THANK YOU GEORGE... WE WILL BE SEEING YOU AGAIN!

finishing touches

The hotel will be beautiful, when all the finishing touches have been added. Our room was large, needed a few pictures, 1 or 2 chairs, more hooks and shelves. The bathroom was a reasonable size, but again more hooks and shelves. Shower head was fixed and would be too high for some people to reach. Chambermaids did and excellent job, as did all the staff in the hotel. Food was typically Greek and good. I must add that the hotel had only been open for 2 weeks, and at times, drilling and digging could be heard. Large car park, and what will be, lovely gardens. Marble floors
were very slippery when it rained, dangerous to the old and young. Plenty of outdoor seating, evening entertainment on some nights. Without a hire car or bike, there was little to do, other than walk to the beach, which was beautiful. There ARE 2 SUPERMARKETS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE. The surrounding countryside is stunning, lots of wild flowers, birds, butterflies etc. Buses run twice daily to Corfu town, cheap. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with walking difficulties, steep approach to the hotel.

Ottima soluzione per relax in famiglia

Piccolo complesso di 5 villette autonome da 1 e 2 camere da letto, con giardini privati ed una piscina attrezzata in comune. Proprietario squisito e disponibilissimo. Paese ad appena 200 metri, spiagge a poco più. Tutto ottimo.
