A nice, motel-style property with a clean, moderately-sized room and balcony. Great for families with kids given its nice on-site pool and pool-side bar with drinks and food. Very close to a water park and beach, Staff at the reception and bar were friendly and courteous.
Some small gripes: the air conditioner was working but not the most powerful/efficient. The property should update their information regarding check-ins as it wasn't clear. The information provided details that there is "no front desk" and that "the host will great guests on arrival." In reality there is a front desk so it lead to a little uncertainty as to what to do when we arrived as we were directed to go to the parking area which is on the opposite side of the building where the reception area isn't visible.

Callinica hotel, Planos, Zante

We stayed here on the off chance due to having no where to go. My father in law had a stroke whilst in Zante & we wasn’t allowed to fly. We were met by Cheryl who is an amazing lady! Accommodation was clean & tidy, beds made & fresh towels everyday. Breakfast is amazing! Portions are huge. You have everything you need but it’s the staff that make it. They can’t do enough for you! English speaking, English music, really good vibe. I would highly recommend. I would like to thank Cheryl & her team for their kindness, empathy, consideration & understanding, you made our horrible time lovely. Thank you so much!

Relaxed Stay

We booked a two-bedroom apartment with a private pool, and on arrival our accommodation was ready for us. The apartment was spacious, with both bedrooms having their own private bathroom. There was also a kitchen area with a dining table, which was very convenient.
Outside, we had a private pool with sun loungers, making it a great place to relax. The apartment was cleaned daily, and fresh towels were provided each day.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful throughout our stay. We only ate at the hotel once for lunch, but the food was very good—especially the chicken club sandwich!
I would definitely stay here again as it's a very relaxed and peaceful hotel.only a 5 minute walk to the beach and bars and restaurants. There is a supermarket next door but slightly expensive there are cheaper ones a few minutes away that I would recommend.
My only criticism is that no sponges or tea towels were provided in the kitchen area, so we had to use a hand towel to dry our cutlery, pots, and dishes. Aside from that minor issue, we had a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely Hotel

We stayed here for a few days in August. We are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teens (15 & 17).
The room was really lovely. Kept really clean. The only downside was the lack of storage. There was one wardrobe and 3 bedside tables. But I’m assuming that maybe these rooms are being updated as we were on the top floor and the floor below looked to have more storage etc.
Lovely balcony area-one addition which would have been nice would be sun loungers on the balcony as sometimes lounging on the balcony would have been nice.
Lovely pool area with very comfy sunbeds.
The staff were very friendly and we also hired a car for 1 day direct from the hotel.
We didn’t actually eat at the hotel as we had various plans for most of the days.
There was music playing most of the time but this finished by 11 and even before then if you had the balcony doors closed you couldn’t hear it.
Our whole stay at the hotel was really nice and if we ever go back to Zakynthos then we’ll definitely look at staying here again.

Wouldn’t return

After coming here for a number of years and having positive experiences, we decided to return again for an 11 night stay. We stayed in room 501, which is a studio with a sea view - we hadn’t stayed in this room type before. Previous visits were in various different room styles and all were fine. First issue - balcony was open for anyone to access, as it led around the block to the stairway to access the rooms on our block. This shouldn’t have been the biggest of issues, but the problem arose when the cleaners repeatedly clean the room and leave our back door unlocked, and on one occasion even completely open! Anyone could have walked into our room and helped themselves to our belongings. We made this known to staff and was told that the cleaners would be told not to clean our room as per our request. The next day, it was cleaned and left open again - clearly not listened to us. 9 nights out of 11 we had no hot water for our showers, and the cold water was dribbling out at best, making getting ready of an evening a nightmare. Luckily, we had family in another room so could use their shower, otherwise we would have been stuck. When cleaners did clean the room, the floor was not cleaned, neither was the balcony and the bin often was left with no bin bag.
Service at the bar is generally poor, often having to wait for someone to appear out of a back room.
As far as a hotel stay goes, we were left disappointed to not have a secure room with hot water, as these are 2 key components for any holiday stay - unfortunately we won’t be returning, and would rather pay a bit more to go somewhere a bit nicer and more centrally located.
