A haven of peace, tranquility and rustic charm

I saw their website and fell in love with it. I went on a healing and yoga retreat after a really difficult year and it was everything that I expected, but more. The environment was so natural and right on the beach front that you could almost tap your toe into the sea from the villa room. The staff were so genuine, natural and very caring. It felt like I was a guest at a private home instead of some mad, crazy yoga retreat in the popular south. My room was beautifully rustic in a local style (Orchid room). The sea lulled me to sleep every night. The bathroom was open air, so do you need to be strong about the odd local nature coming in and out.
The yoga and meditation in the morning and early evening was magical overlooking a dream sea view. Victoria and Tamina were incredible hosts and very inspiring. I left with lasting skills and a daily routine to do back home. I can't thank them enough for thier wisdom, wealth of nature and teachings.
The food was beyond my expectations; all fresh, visually appealing, super healthy, and lovingly prepared by the cook. As a nutritionist I was impressed. It certainly wasn't 'institution' vegetarian food. There was quality and variety each day. Every meal time was a ritual and pleasure to sit with the other guests and retreats leaders. It was a super way to enjoy the meal with unforced friendly chat/laughter along with the appreciation of just eating. You never felt alone, but had so much space to do whatever you wanted.
The therapists were super sweet and dedicated. Prana Veda has a simple but beautiful spa with the best flower bath ceremony. Massages everyday really did pay of in terms of health and unwinding. I miss this in my daily life. I would return in an instant!

Lovely morning to join these ladies for Yoga

It was a lovely morning to join these ladies for yoga with great ambiance surrounded by a garden with a pond of water. The yoga place is equipped with a lot of yoga materials to help you to set the proper form. The instructor is very helpful.

Do not waste your money !!!

Dear friends, I knew I lost my money the moment I reached this place. Firstly it took our taxi driver a good 30 minutes enquiring the address among his friends, before he was confident he could find the place. The place is secluded and has a haunted look. The room are spacious but airconditioners do not work, save for the noise they produce. Sleeping was impossible. Toilets had broken taps. Our dining area had food leftover from previous meals. No reception. Once we reached there the watchman just ushered us into a room, when I asked him something, he replied in broken english "that office opens in the morning only. We spoke to the landlady, who said there is no refund, although I had booked for 5 days and stayed only 1 night. The very next day I shifted to a excellent hotel nearby Vasanti Seminayak Resort, which turned my trip around. Do not get fooled looking at the photos of Villa Prana Bali. My sincere request not to waste your money.

Disappointing yoga

Villa stay was nice
yoga very disappointing... last year had amazing experience but it seems to have gone DOWN HILL for 2014 if you are looking for beginning classes "ok"... still I think it was over priced considering the quality of the 'instructor' , who I could hardly understand,,,, but if you have done a bit of yoga then you are better off getting what you paid for else where

Villa Prana Bali, Jl. Petitenget, Kerobokan

It seems by reading the reviews and photos that there is confusion between two "Villa Prana Bali". I have been staying at the one opposite "Toni's Villas" and Café "Biku" since they were first built and the bungalows, garden and service have always been excellent. It is a clean, simple oasis down a little gang off the busy street. Once through the gate, It is so quiet that you can hear the surf. I can highly recommend it. The photo of the gaudy red furnishings and the blue water kidney shaped pool are not at this Villa.
