Prior to booking our stay here, we were traumatized by the place we were booked at to stay in Sanur. We walked around to look for somewhere else to stay and when we arrived here, we requested to look at the room before we booked. They were very understanding and were happy to accommodate our request. This place was night and day from the location we were desperately trying to run from. However, this was an overshoot for what we were looking for as accommodations, but we definitely had no complaints. Our intention was to just get out of the bad situation, but we got so much more.
Front staff were very kind and welcoming. The bell attendants were extremely helpful and always had a smile and quick to offer help. The room was immaculate and extremely comfortable. 3 adults shared a room with 2 twin beds and also a huge chaise that was large enough to be used as an additional bed. They provided bedding to cover and they even made that "bed" daily. Everyday our glassed bottles of waters were replenished for brushing our teeth and drinking. In the evening someone would come around to turn on our patio light and provide a cookie for a little treat. They had an impressive spread for breakfast which we skipped most days due to our early meet up with the large group we were with.

Good Stay

The price we paid does not reflect the room we recieved. The bathroom was smaller than a caravan ensuite. ( It's not a bathroom..its a toilet and shower sharing a very small area ) A rigid white bit of plastic trys to separate the toilet and shower which it does not. The bathroom sink is located in a large void space three times the size of the combined shower and toilet???....and is just odd. The room is standard layout and outlook of the hotel works. The Breakfast which is held in the Byrd House is another odd design. The different levels make the place feel small and congested. Having to share tables also make it very congested. Breakfast was basic. It was a good stay but the room's "bathroom?" was a big disappointment....it would not give you privacy if Bali Belly kicked in.

We really enjoyed our stay at Segara Village Hotel, and will likely stay there again, but there were a couple of things (mostly outside of the control of the staff) that unfortunately made the stay not as excellent as it could have been.
When we arrived our room had been set up with two single beds instead of a double bed. As we got there late, my husband and I just went straight to bed & credit to the staff they DID fix it the very next day so we had a double bed for the rest of the stay.
We loved the fact our room was in a separate section to the rest of the accommodation were so we had an adults only pool, meaning we could relax in the afternoon with a dip without the noise/excitement of young kids. We could have gone to the other pools if we wished, but enjoyed the quiet and shade of our area.
The breakfast buffet was amazing, and the staff were fantastic & incredibly helpful & made our stay great. The hotel being right on the beach was excellent & we enjoyed the beach dining area too.
Unfortunately part way through our stay, one of the bedside shelves collapsed & smashed a glass & narrowly missed my husband's foot. Again, the staff were great and moved us to another room immediately, but it was a inconvenient having to move everything at night & my husband's CPAP machine was on the shelve when it fell so we had to check it for damages. Ultimately no-one was hurt and we appreciated the room change. We look forward to staying again once renovations are completed.
