Lodging in Jersey

Great location right on the waterfront and about 10 minutes walk to the old town or ferry port.
Very large room with kettle, cocoa, coffee sticks and tea bags. Further facilities include a safe, fridge, ironing board, fluffy bath towels and good toiletries. Wi-Fi works very well.
Trendy lobby and good breakfast buffet.

Attentive staff and lovely stay

Initially I was apprehensive about staying here as I had seen reviews about the renovations however my experience was great. We booked a year in advance so weren’t aware of the renovations when we booked. At check in the staff were very attentive, they gave us some complimentary jersey fudge and a glass of Prosecco each. They also upgraded us without additional cost to a business class room with a sea view. The location was great, facilities were great and staff were very accommodating. We used the pool facilities which we enjoyed, sadly the sauna was out of use but otherwise it was a faultless stay. Coffee machine and bathtub in the room, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Dear Rebecca B! Thank you so much for sharing such a kind review of your stay with us. We are thrilled that our team’s attentive service and the room upgrade made your experience so special, and we truly appreciate your patience regarding the sauna while our renovations continue. Hotel Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel Jersey is in the most wonderful hotel set in a beautiful location in St Helier as we have stayed there two-three times before. However our room was lovely overlooking the harbour and cannot fault the wonderful staff and cleanliness of the hotel, but either Hotels.com or the Radisson Blu should have made it clear there are big renovations going on which did make a difference. As in the restaurant we were surrounded by scaffolding and could not use the terrace to sit outside and the alternative terrace seemed to have events going on all the time. Also I have mobility issues and all the disabled parking was cordoned off which meant my husband had to keep dropping me off then parking the car and getting the car to pick me up. Had this been mentioned we may well not have stayed at the Radisson Blu in Jersey this time until all these renovations are complete which are going to take a very long time.

Disappointing

We booked here as the location was great and we could walk from the hotel to the harbour for our onwards travel by water taxi after Jersey.
The website said the terrace was not in use due to building works. A bit of an understatement as most of one side of the hotel was covered in scaffolding and plastic, obscuring the main entrance.
Breakfast time was noisy with drilling right above the dining room. The sauna was out of action. Credit to the staff, they must have had so many complaints but they remained friendly and professional
We had room 117 which is a sea view room and also a so called accessible room. I say so called. It had a rather shallow bath with over bath shower and the shelves for toiletries were at a height suitable for someone stood up. The heating controls for the room were so low one had to kneel on the floor and stoop a little to use it. There's a slight ramp up into the bathroom. For someone with limited mobility accessing the bathroom might prove a little tricky. For able bodied, the very low sink was uncomfortable to use, the shallow bath barely covered ones knees.
It was very windy when we stayed, we didn't need to open a window to get fresh air! Hopefully the refurbishment of the hotel will address that issue. A positive was the sea view which we enjoyed.
We did write to the management and eventually got a response. No doubt the hotel is fantastic normally, but while tge renovation work is on going it should be more honest about the disruption it is causing.

Fabulous hotel and location

I’m currently staying at The Radisson Blu, it is wonderful, large room, comfortable bed, clean, great staff, amazing food, right on the harbour and sea front, a fabulous location. It is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. However, I really appreciate it because I don’t usually stay in a hotel of this quality. Yes it currently has scaffolding up but it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I can’t fault it here. I would definitely stay again.
