Very lousy landlord!

In August 2025, I booked this accommodation for a week in November. A room without a private bathroom, but with family connections. I was really looking forward to talking to locals about the country and its people. After booking, I received a PDF with 17 suggested excursions and a link to an excursion provider. Only after inquiring was I offered a completely overpriced transfer from the airport. I then informed the landlord that I would not be using his overpriced services and excursions. Shortly afterward, I received an email from booking.com stating that the landlord was demanding that I cancel, otherwise I would have to pay the full rental price without any service. According to the contract, I could have canceled free of charge until October 31, 2025. I'm sure there are also nice landlords in Nairobi. I'm really looking forward to meeting the nice people in my new accommodation.

Feels like family

This is my second home in Africa, the owners treat you like family, we did the city tour with Mwai which I can highly recommend, you can eat directly with the family, the meals are abundant and tasty. Very fair prices. We will be back :-)

Great stay near Nairobi

We had a great stay with Mwai. He cared for us all the time. We had email contact in advance and for a little fee he collected us at the airport.
He has a selection of trips you can book with him and he organises everything for you.
We did a beautiful hike through the mountains near to Nairobi. On the next day he drove with us through Nairobi National Park and we visited the Giraffes sanctuary and the Elephant Orphanage.
His wife Anne cooked very healthy kenian food for us with products from their farm. It was delicius.
We feeled safe and welcomed all the time.

Paradise in nairobi

It is a great place!!
In the chaos of Nairobi in an oasis of peace
The owners are two wonderful people and the house is a dream
Dinner and breakfast together was very nice!!!
We lived the local daily life and chatted with two kind, sincere and pleasant people
Would stay there again 1000 times
My children have food allergies and they have proven to be very attentive and helpful
Thank you and thank you again
