small, cosy ping-pong lovers hotel

Very good location. Ecxeptionally friendly staff. Nice clean room. Nice interior with ping-pong theme and medals. And amazing breakfast like at home. Lovely place I want to come back again one day definetely

Nice family owned hotel

Central location nice and cosy hotel with friendly staff. Please note - it's better to book directly as if booking goes through booking.com it will be charged +10 EUR. Theer is small restaurant but it operates only day time. Here is served great breaksfast (I've got the best omlette in my life)

Good location in the city center

Good location in the city center next to the church and other attractions. Close to the bus station, synagogue and museum basketball.
Convenient access to the hotel. Suitable for groups stay. Next to the hotel is a large shopping center Maxima .

Needs refurbishment but honest service pays

Although Siaures Vartai (Gates To The North) is the only hotel in Joniskis city and there is nothing else to choose from, hotel owner's honesty and friendliness makes you feel ok.
Rooms are big enough, WiFi fast, breakfast is tasty and fulfilling.
Of course I would want bigger (newer) LCD TV screen, new bed, harder matress, cleaner shower cabin but when you know the occupancy of the hotel you understand that it is not so easy to accomplish fast.
Owner said she is refurbishing rooms step-by-step and I wish her all the best in doing so. Please lit up more lights in hallways.
Average rating would be underestimating and Very Good is yet to be achieved but I believe in positiveness.
I would stay again if needed because I don't think something better/new will open soon in Joniskis.

Got to do the basics right

Stayed there for 4 days on a trip. We were greeted by a friendly lady who gave us the key very quickly. The room was of good size but really dated, old and in desperate need for refurbishment. For example the TV was tiny and ancient, Furniture really old and fittings in need of fixing. The shower cabin doors would not close well and all in all in a very poor state.
In addition to this our room was only serviced once in the first night we stayed and then completely ignored. The only positive about the place is its location and friendly staff.
