L'Heure Bleue Nosy Be

Hello, we visited this "resort" in march '26 with in total 3 friends and stayed in a luxury lodge with sea view (room 14). The room was big enough for 3 persons, nothing to complain about that! Everything was very clean and up to date. Towels and shower gel are also present.
Please note that there is no air conditioning but instead you have 2 fans at your disposal to get some fresh winds. In March it was very moist and hot, so some nights it could get warm inside the lodge. The rains in the night made it even a little hotter.
Food and drinks was very good and more then enough choice. Even some special requests were possible if you asked. Prices all very affordable.
The personel was more then OK, once you have a connection with them they will do their absolute best to please everyone.
Definitely a recommendation to visit this perfect resort.

To flee

Horrible experience. No sleep for 2 nights, noisy fans (ceiling and standing) that stir hot air. I thought I was in an oven, cramped with noise (ventilo + locusts + dogs barking all night... hell on holiday

unworthy hotel for Madagascar

In order to explain our comment, it is important to note that we have been traveling around the world for many years and regularly stay in similar category properties. Before arriving at Hour Bleue for a six-day seaside holiday, we travelled around this wonderful island of Madagascar, where we were deeply touched by the warm welcome and smile of the Malagasy.
From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we had a bad feeling. My wife became ill and, apart from an employee and a few tourists who helped her, no one really cared about her health.
We were then accompanied to our beachfront bungalow. At the entrance, we were told that the day being a Sunday, an evening was planned nearby with music until one o’clock in the morning. As soon as we were settled, we noticed a strong smell of diesel oil that we immediately reported. The only answer was that it was the product used by the cleaning lady to clean the floor.
We also wanted to make it clear that beachfront bungalows do not offer any privacy. They are very close to each other, to the point of hearing the neighbor take his shower, and the passage is directly in front of the doors.
Very tired, we tried to rest, but between the lingering smell and the announced evening, it quickly seemed impossible to stay in this bungalow. We have therefore asked to change it. The only solution offered was a “DE LUXURY” bungalow, located at the top and further from the music.
Once settled, we were shocked by the general condition of the room, and more particularly by the glaring lack of cleanliness of the bathroom. We will not mention the condition of the mosquito net as well as the refrigerator. The first meal in the restaurant was equally disappointing, especially due to the dirtiness of the plates and the quality of the products (see photos). Besides, following this meal, we were sick which caused us to lose days of excursions.
The next morning, we contacted our travel agency which, based on the photos transmitted, decided immediately to change our hotel. Luckily.
Please note that this is the first time we have made a negative comment since we traveled.

A Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Hospitality

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was beautiful, and the staff treated us incredibly well from start to finish. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and helpful, which made the experience even more special.
It is true that there can be some noise at night, and we mainly experienced it on Sundays, but honestly, it was not a problem at all for us. The hotel even provides earplugs, and with those, we had no issue whatsoever.
Overall, we had an amazing experience and would absolutely recommend this place. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable!

Beautiful view with peaceful location

We stayed here for 5 wonderful days with the best location and most amazing views. First in the cheapest lodge and the last 3 days in the best. The best is all worth the money, and it is still reasonable in price.
The restaurant is also super with cute and very service-minded staff.
The place is peaceful, but if you need more to happen, there is plenty of activity along the beach and in the city behind it.
We were around at Nosy Be and also to the lovely and very quiet Nosy Sakatia

Very good location
