Clean and comfortable
Our room was clean and cool, so we slept very well. The bungalows were nice and the location was great. We arrived very late at night, so only had breakfast there, but it was good. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The bathroom was clean and nice and we had no trouble with the hot water or electricity.

Just okay.
Positives : 1) Good location, about a 15 minute drive out to the National park where you can go trekking with a guide. 2) Staff will bend over backwards, help you with your itinerary and the 2 people in charge speak English. 3) Meals were decent, the grilled pork was good. The breakfast is only okay, unless you only order toast and eggs. 4) For kids- there is an Xbox player in there, and a TV where kids can watch Cartoon network and Disney. 5) Affordable Negatives : 1) The place is pretty rundown and old 2) The beds were uncomfortable and had a weird odor (smelled like pee). When I asked to replace the mattress, they did, and it smelled the same. 3) The bathroom shower didn't work, either it was scalding hot, or off. 4) Pool was the color of the river, therefore light brown. They clean it everyday though, but the water was murky. 5) The whole family had a stomach bug after the trip.
Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back.

Indri Lodge....very friendly place, but....
Four of us stayed at the Indri Lodge outside of Andasibe for one night late last October. We had planned to be there for two nights, but because Madagascar Airways had a very delayed flight from Morondava the day before, we ended up having to spend a night in Tana before getting to Andsibe. Anyhow, the owners and employees at Indri Lodge were very friendly and helpful. The bungalows are attractive and nicely spaced away from each other, with nice landscaping as well. The room was cozy, comfortable,and attractively decorated (the bed could have been firmer for me). The bathroom was large, with a very fancy shower that has European-style variable faucets, etc. However, my husband was barely able to get a dribble out of the shower, so I didn't even use it. We had by this time, however, already discovered that even in three-star Madagascar hotels, there can be plumbing issues, so this was not unexpected. I will mention that around 11pm my husband had to go to the main lodge to ask the employees and their friends if they could quiet down, so that we could get to sleep.
We ate one dinner and one breakfast there. At dinner,after the waiters finally knew what we wanted (there is a language problem if one does not speak French at many of the restaurants!) we received our meals. I had ordered shrimp and had to return it after crunching on several grains of sand (the lodge sits by a river). Our husbands ordered fish and mentioned that it was rather dry and uninteresting. At breakfast i believe we had no complaints. That afternoon we drove back to the airport inTana and on to London. Three of the four of us returned to London with various degrees of chills and intestinal illness. Whether this was a result of eating at this lodge or elsewhere is impossible to say for sure, but I have my suspicions. I have since contacted our tour guide and he told me he would be mentioning this to the lodge owners.

Good sleepover on the way to the National Park
One thing to bear in mind -- Madagascar is a poor country; so unless you opt for the top end you are going to experience accommodation that does not fit what one is accustomed to in not only western countries but also the more tourism-oriented "emerging country" destinations. I spent one night at Indri Lodge on the way from Tana to visit Perinet Nature Reserve the next day, as the more up-market Vakona Forest Lodge was fully booked.
The Lodge is inside the village (hence the name "Lodge" a bit far-fetched) though the bungalows are quite spread out, on both sides of a stream you cross over a nice rustic wooden bridge, and it is still quiet. The rooms are clean, the shower's fine (though you worry that it might fall off the wall). Same observation about the bed -- I slept well, but was worried about the solidity of the mattress. The common area is fine, and open so you get some welcome fresh air.
I had dinner at the Lodge (there aren't that many other options in Andasibe), and my experience was mixed. My starter, Chinese soup with chicken, was hearty and tasty; my main -- chicken with chips -- tasted fine but honestly, one single chicken thigh does not qualify as a "main course", even with a full plate of chips. The white Malagasy wine was forgettable.
In a word, it's fine to overnight there before visiting the Reserve if availability or budget constraints leave no other choice. As another reviewer said, it is "a place to stay".

No complaints, ok place to stay.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on 30th and 31st October, 2015. Our travel agent booked stating that he had very short time arranging our trips and he could only manage this place in Andasibe! Though, it was not a high tourist season, we accepted and reached this place after some 4 hours from Tana around 5 pm. The room size was big and had all the basic amenities except TV, wifi and phones. We had decent breakfast at this place with pancakes and omlettes and a good coffee. They have some rooms on the other side of the stream and there was a small wooden bridge connecting it! We did not stay there! But it looked perfect in a rural African set up. The staff were extremely helpful and kind.
Did not look flashy, but still no complaints! The bathroom required some sprucing up!
