Peaceful Family Getaway Surrounded by Nature

We recently stayed at Monkeys Canopy and had an enjoyable experience overall. The place offers a unique stay surrounded by nature, making it a great getaway from the busy city life. The atmosphere was peaceful, and our children especially enjoyed being close to nature.
During our stay there were not many tourists. The staffs were friendly and helpful, and the accommodation was comfortable for our family. We also enjoyed the food during our stay. The meals were tasty, filling, and convenient, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time without having to worry about finding food elsewhere.
The activities were also well-organized and enjoyable. A special highlight for us was the Enchanted Forest experience, which was both fun and memorable for the kids. It added a magical touch to our stay and made the trip even more special.
Most importantly, the trip gave us the chance to slow down, unwind, and spend quality family time together. Thank you, Monkeys Canopy, for the memorable experience! ✨

Disappointed during the stay

I was very disappointed with my recent 2D1N stay at Monkey Canopy.
During check-in around 1pm, we were informed to return at 3pm to collect our room key. However, when we arrived at the reception at 3:10pm, we had to wait for almost one hour before receiving the key. This delay was very inconvenient, especially after being told to return at a specific time.
Upon check-in, we requested an extra bed (MYR150 including breakfast) and a baby cot. When we entered the room, it was completely empty without the requested items. We called customer service and made the request again. The staff reconfirmed which items were to be placed in which room. However, when we returned to our room, the items were placed incorrectly. In the end, we had to swap the beds ourselves instead of waiting for housekeeping to assist.
Additionally, it was very difficult to reach the staff by phone, as we had to call multiple times before someone answered.
We were also surprised that although a baby cot was provided, it only came with a mattress and pillow, without any blanket. When we called to ask, we were informed that blankets are not provided for baby cots. This is extremely disappointing and unacceptable for a resort or hospitality establishment.
Overall, the service standard during our stay was far below expectations. We hope the management will seriously look into these issues and improve the service quality to prevent future guests from experiencing the same inconvenience.

Terrible service and hygiene concerns

We recently went to the resort as a family of 3 adults (including two elderly grandparents) and 1 child. Unfortunately, our stay at Monkey Canopy Resort was disappointing. On our first day we saw a rat run near Block 10. There was cleaning equipment and mattress laid outside of the rooms and as you can see from the pictures , the mattress had black mould - these all seemed unhygienic. The buggy service was also unreliable—we were left waiting for more than 15 mins, and on one occasion it never came, so we had to walk. At Sticks & Baron, despite the restaurant being almost empty, my son's chicken wings took a very long time to arrive, and the prawns were not properly cleaned (with poo still in the prawns). We also found communication difficult with some of the staff due to limited English proficiency. To top it off, the bathroom sinks were clogged. Overall, the resort did not meet the standard we expected, especially considering the price. While the theme park activities and the food quality of the restaurant was also adequate , I do not think these are sufficient reasons to return again. Special mention to Milato - lovely gelato shop and great quality ingredients and nice staff.

Impressive at the first day, second night is the worst

Good room and cleanliness were tiptop, maybe before i booked, i check all the review first, most of the comment about the cleanliness and TV reception. When i do the booking i communicate thru their WS channel to inform i need the clean room and dust free. When check in "wow" room is so good but the TV reception worst, can’t view at all, compliment to the housekeeping team and their Supervisor (name) for the room arrangement. Second night we decide to dine in at their restaurant (Royal Bali & A'han), RB food was okay but A'han (tomyam seafood) not meet my expectation. the worst experience for the second night is BUGGY service. waited for 1 hours from room to the lobby and planning for short driving range, call reception was not pick up at the first and follow up via WS (9.43pm till 10.50pm), no courtesy to inform about the delay or anything. Arrived at the lobby around 10.52pm and approached FO on duty for buggy, nothing was been informed and the FO on duty said still available. 10.57pm. 11.00pm still waiting and i meet their AFOM and he said theme park buggy last 11.00pm. WTH no one of their staffs update me on this and i keep waiting n waiting. Waste my time !!! i did inform their AFOM i wanted to meet their TOP MANAGEMENT next morning. When i arrived, AFOM called me and update their OM busy for the blood donations cant arrange to meet me, hey come on laa I not take your time the whole day for this issue. I hope the TOP MANAGEMENT will look on this and take the necessary action. We are in the hospitality industry our aim n goal to make sure all of our guests are happy when they stayed at our property. I believe this is not first time you are running high occupancy during the long weekend, for sure you have contingency plan if your resort running high occupancy to make sure operation run smoothly.
Meet their Operation Manager, Kha Kha and CK, Theme Park Manager (maybe) before checking out, they requested me to tell the story from A to Z. Don’t waste my time if both of you did’t get any info of the issue.
Travelling TIPS – stay during normal weekend or weekdays. If you are choosing during peak period for sure you will face the same issue. Overall facilities okay but this is my first and last stay at here. So disappointed !!!
