I liked the hotel, it was nice new and clean. Though during checking in I was confused as there were no staff on registration desk. It appeared they had sent a message with all the codes and electronic locks may be opened automatically. Later I saw other confused people, who were looking and waiting for administrator. Common bathroom is fine for the Europeans. The strange thing they have holes in the floor but the stayers were calm enough and my dream was not ruined

Location near Chinatown, Queen Street,standard room is good,no drinking water, convenient store 3 to 5 minutes away, stairs a little bit noise, I stayed near reception, condition still acceptable.

The bed linens were crisp and fresh, giving off that premium hotel vibe that I honestly didnât expect for the price I paid. Itâs clear the staff takes great care to maintain the property, which was a huge plus for me.
The amenities here were equally impressive. The air conditioning was brand new and worked perfectly, keeping the room cool and comfortable even during the hot Penang afternoons. The WiFi was strong and reliable, making it easy for me to stay connected throughout my stayâwhether for work or just streaming my favorite shows. In the bathroom, the water pressure in the shower was excellent, which is always a detail I appreciate. There was even a hairdryer provided, which added an extra touch of convenience.
Safety is something that really stood out here. The property has a dedicated password system for entry to both the main building and individual rooms. This gave me complete peace of mind during my stay, especially as a single traveler. Itâs always reassuring to know that security is taken seriously.

The location is another highlight. Situated in the heart of Georgetown, Swing & Pillows is right along Penangâs historic attractions. Everything I wanted to see was either a short walk or a quick ride away, making it the perfect base for exploring the cityâs rich cultural and architectural heritage. Whether itâs the famous street art, local food spots, or historical sites, this accommodation puts you right in the middle of the action.
That said, the one minor downside is that thereâs no dedicated parking available. This wasnât an issue for me since I wasnât driving, but itâs something to keep in mind if you plan to arrive by car. However, with the central location and easy access to public transportation, this might not be a major concern for most travelers.
Overall, Swing & Pillows at Mutri is an amazing find, especially for the price. The combination of cleanliness, comfort, safety, and convenience makes it an excellent choice, particularly for solo travelers or those booking at the last minute. One of the finest budget hotels, though small rooms. With better mattress and table lamps it will do great. Excellent staff, and mr. Sutharsan goes out of the way to help. One could go to pantry and make tea or coffee anytime you want. It is in a very fascinating market area! Best wishes n Thanks.
