Perfect boutique hotel
The rooms were spotless, elegantly designed, and full of thoughtful details that made us feel truly welcomed. The staff member Anita went above and beyond throughout our stay — always warm, professional, and ready to help with recommendations and anything we needed.
One of the highlights was the tranquil ambiance of the hotel and its perfect location in the heart of Rabat with a stunning rooftop terrace with soectacular views. Everything was within walking distance, including the charming streets, local restaurants, and historical sites. Despite being central, the hotel felt quiet and relaxing, making it the ideal escape after a day of exploring Malta.
Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented in the morning. Every aspect of the experience reflected quality, care, and genuine hospitality.
We would highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone visiting Malta and looking for an authentic, stylish, and memorable stay. We cannot wait to return!

Boutique Hotel Experience
Location: you are in Rabat but technically in front of the Mdina gateway - right by the parking lot and the amazing and "famous" Crystal Palace pastizzi place - plenty in walking distance, big public parking lot + some spots in front of the hotel, easy to move around/get in or out - the drive to airport was about 15 minutes or so, safe, clean, charming area - this is not high rises and "new era" buildings, this is the charming Malta :)
Room: we took the floor on the top floor called Agatha - Room 4, and while we enjoyed it I must disclose it that it's on the 3rd floor (2 levels above ground floor) and there is no elevator here, and while the nice ladies here offered to take our luggage to the room I couldn't let them, it's just too big too heavy and I did it myself - it was an exercise for sure - so if you come here I suggest pack lightly or opt for one of the lower lever rooms - there are 4 rooms all together, and only 1 of them is on the top floor. The room itself was beautiful and spacious, we had a little private patio though there is a shared patio also on this floor adjacent from the room entrance that looks directly at Mdina Old Town. Bed was big and comfy, WiFI great and cable TV came handy in cold weather January on a raining arrival day
Hotel Grounds: the bottom floor has also the breakfast area, where top quality fresh selection is served every day - this is why I love boutique hotels, it's the quality over quantity (though the choices were impressive as well!!!). Top floor has that nice shared patio, jacuzzi, sun loungers, tables etc. - I can only imagine with a nice weather sipping glass of wine there (we did still drink wine there, it was just cold and nasty hahah). Although more of an intangible aspect but still part of the hotel concept worth mentioning, there are no keys here and you get a code to get to the building and to your room - make sure to complete your check in in advance as things can get tricky, we almost didn't get inside but luckily others guests were entering and helped us and then with proper WiFI i have completed what was necessary
Food & Restaurants: again don't look for any breakfast restaurant as the included breakfast is outstanding, if however you want something super small and quick go to Crystal Palace for their amazing pastizzi. If you are looking for great fine dining then then wander around and check out google reviews/tripadvisor here, some excellent dining places (we really enjoyed Root 81 dinner - reviewed separately)
Things to do: I would say come here with a full day for Mdina and the area, and repeat Mdina at least at different times of the day, it's a completely different experience and so much fun. If you go the opposite direction you can visit the catacombs, churches etc. - there is easily stuff here for 1.5 to 2 full days and a healthy pace without rushing through
Overall: I highly recommend this place, in particular with the final leg of your Malta trip, Mdina isn't a place fully enjoyed if it's rushed, you want to take your time - it's almost romantic at times to wander around together in these narrow streets, gardens, etc. at least I felt it like that + the sunset, it was an amazing place to conclude the trip and this hotel definitely played a factor here as well

I would definitely book here again
The room facilities are super too. Clean, great towels, and other bits and pieces. Not sure if it's available or if I missed when we checked it would be good if you could pre-order drinks for when you arrive.
