Great location and good service.

We were in Guadalajara for a family wedding and planned on staying for 8 days. ( My wife is fully bilingual , and my spanish is passable.) We prefer to stay in smaller, more unique hotels and the square fit the bill very, very well.
The Square doesn't have all of the amenities that a big hotel will. However, if you spend any time there, beyond one or two nights, you'll find the staff gets to know you and are very accommodating.
We found the hotel to be a good value for what it is. If it is in your budget, try to get the double room. Well worth of few extra dollars. There are several very good restaurants within easy walking distance. They are not bargains, but not excessive either. If and when we have occasion to come back and stay in Guadalajara, the Square will be my first choice.

Management annoyed & uninterested in Hotel Guest

The management is rude and aggressive. The manager I spoke with does not belong in customer service. Nothing worked in the room. Safe did not Function. No Wifi access. Espresso machine did not work. The staff did nothing. Then the manager started aggressively arguing with us. Very Latin tough guy Machismo.

An excellent hotel. The breakfast is buffet style with a menu on the side to order eggs, etc. the pool area is very nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is clean. The beds are comfortable.
The only thing I would say is that this hotel is not for small kids, as the upper floors open to an atrium that looks very dangerous to young children. It has protection on two sides with a glass railing, but the other two only have a flimsy wooden barrier where young kids could easily fall through right down to the lobby. It is absolutely scary!

A very beautiful hotel, quiet, comfortable and nicely decorated rooms, friendly staff, located close to many fine restaurants.

Room was very clean, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The only thing that I would mention is not to take a cap from the Hotel to the airport
