Terrible service
We always stayed here, however this occasion was terrible! We couldn't sleep the first night because on one side there is a bar that plays the music at full volume and the administration of both the hotel and the bar doesn't care, we contacted Mrs. Daniela who was the one who made the reservation for us and NEVER came to answer us Not even giving us options, the manager said that if Daniela didn't answer us, then he saw what options they gave us, they wanted to change us to other rooms and we would hear the same scandal because they could NOT refund us. They charge you for the night as if they had their space 100% and the truth is that they have a LOT to improve!

You won't rest here
Bad experience.
We like to go to Holbox every year, but we will not return to this place. We got the same room as always, but now without TV, without towels, with terrible beds - you probably sleep better on the floor - and the same price. The room is not even cleaned from one day to the next, nor during the entire weekend we were there. The water in the shower is just a trickle and without hot water... and on top of that the bar next door plays music until 6 in the morning.
If they were decent in this place, they would clarify that it is impossible to sleep or they would find a way to improve the experience. The last night we wanted to go sleep somewhere else and they told us that they did NOT give a refund, so we couldn't change hotels.
If what you are looking for is to rest, you won't get it here.

Sweet little place that is going to fail due to the bar next door.
I am so sorry to have to complete this post. The new bar next door is going to KILL this sweet, affordable place.
We booked through booking.com and did not check more recent reviews- our bad.
The basics :
This place is not the Hilton but it is not that bad. It’s clean, the bed is comfy and when there is water - the shower is good. There is a fridge in the main area to store anything you need to keep cold. They provide beach towels at the front desk.
Unfortunately (and this is a guess) they turn the water off at seemingly random times a day. We got water in a few minutes when we made a fuss.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is free and served on the beach across the path. The coffee is instant so in my mind not worth drinking but you get a beautiful plate of fruit and a piece of toast with butter and jam . Such a nice place to sit and face the day. If they put a coffee maker in the room it would be a bonus.
Location:
Honestly it’s perfect. It’s on a nice strip of the ever decreasing beach. If you stay at the Casa you can sit in the beach chairs across the street which is a MAJOR bonus as beach chairs run upwards of 800 pesos on the beach for the day. The drinks at the beach were gorgeous and tasty. We had burgers after a long night and were satisfied.
The Problem:
There is a new place next door called Trebol. They open at 11PM and close at 5:30 PM. They blast music all night. They absolutely ruined an otherwise beautiful stay for my sister and I. They suck.

Look elsewhere if you enjoy a good night's sleep!
We booked 3 cabanas for our family for 3 nights. In my opinion the rooms are sub standard. In 2 of the rooms there was no toilet seat, in another, the bathroom sink was barely attached to the wall.
We had to continually ask for the hot water to be turned on.
The entire place needs to be renovated and obviously there is no attention to keeping it up to standard.
The worst part though was the nightclub right next door, there is no mention of this in their glossy photos or blurb about the place. There was loud music every night until 4am, it was impossible to sleep as none of the cabanas are sound proofed.
If you are thinking of staying here - keep looking!

Everything it’s a lie.
If you are looking for a place to stay and relax this is NOT the place for you. Their beach club is not free anymore, you have to consume to use their facilities, and the worst part is the night club next to the hotel, you can not sleep at night with the loud music that they play until 4.30 in the morning EVERY NIGHT. The street is full of noisy people and golf cars with loud music too. It used to be a cozy little gem on the beach, but not anymore. BE AWARE.
