Old and needs some renovations

I should have checked the TripAdvisor reviews before booking. Online it says this is a 4-star property. It definitely didn't feel this way. I had light switches that didn't work, mold in the bathroom, and being a foreigner in what's supposed to be an international city, you'd think the reception would speak enough english to do check-in or recommend places. The shuttle driver whom I interacted with outside while waiting on an Uber spoke more English than all the hotel staff I spoke with at reception. But my college level 1 Spanish got me by.
The breakfast was basic. Nothing worth writing home about.
Overall, I'd say it's probably barely passing Marriott standards. It's definitely not up to the Marriott standards I'm used to. Will not be returning to this property when I return to Queretaro.

Lousy City Express in Jurica

Dismal, for two years now they've been downgrading their service.
The watchman outside doesn't offer to help you because you're a woman and carrying a lot of things.
The real estate of the room, bed and desk super worn, and for the same situation the edge of the desk hurts if you rub it.
The worst thing is breakfast, they reduce too much liquid foods to yield more and taste super insipid, they don't have jam, the first day I stayed they didn't have honey, and the second day they put like maple water and I say water because it was super reduced. On the second day there was no box bread or sweetbread for at least the 30 minutes it took for breakfast.
