A BEAUTIFUL SURPRISE

Looking through their photos I thought it would be an ugly place since they have put an ugly first photo on their page but look past that and book immediately! The place is beautiful outside and inside! They are really clean too! It’s around everything and near zocalo. I was really surprised that a hostel in Mexico can look this good. Book book book! And it was also very surprisingly cheap. The only down side is that they sell soap rather than give one for free lol

Amazing Location and Clean!!

This hostel was incredibly clean and had a very good central location in the historic district. You are close to plenty of shops, restaurants, nightlife, museums, historical sites. During the weekend, nightlife in the neighborhood was audible late into the evening so bring ear plugs if you have early morning tours that require a good night's sleep.
The hostel staff were extremely kind and accommodating. There is a communal kitchen where you are able to cook and store your leftovers in a group refrigerator.
The only negative thing is that the mattresses were hard like cement; obviously, bed comfort can be very subjective but in my opinion it was very uncomfortable and I did not sleep well the entire duration of the trip.

With "nice breakfasts" & At a "premium location" :)

During my 8-night stay at this place, there was something to look forward to every morning which was its breakfast (kind of a variable one from day to day but yes always a "nice & filling" one both to get from the kitchen staff & to self-serve from the table also including some dessert & such). As for the place itself, the common room (of a pretty good size) on one side was something I was thankful for while also kind of pleasing to see were these "wall decorations" (of various handicraft objects likely locally made). And then, there was some "great service" provided by two ladies at the front desk who "quite patiently" helped me with all my questions about the city sites for sightseeing (the one who I saw most of the mornings & the one in most of the afternoons).
And yes, besides the nice breakfast (really a reason enough), another great reason to stay at this place is its location which is "one of premium" as I would describe it for "about 2 days" of sightseeing to the sites all in walking distances (within 5 to 10 minutes) from this place: the "main plaza" Zocalo (with Catedral Metropolitana & Palacio Nacional on its 2 sides), Iglesia de Santo Domingo, Torre Latinoamericana, Palacio de Bellas Artes and Palacio Postal. And as for going further, just at about a 5-minute walk from this place are the metro stations of Zocalo & Allende (both on Line 2 and just one station after the other) from which I took the metro to some "far destinations" for just a negligible metro fare although not a straight way but with 1 or 2 line changes (Autobuses del Norte Station on Line 5 for the bus to Teotihuacan from Terminal del Norte just outside that metro station, Chapultepec Station on Line 1 for Chapultepec Castle, and Coyoacan Station on Line 3 for Museo Casa de Leon Trotsky). And also, being "centrally located", there are really quite a number of restaurants (big & small) and convenience stores (actually an Oxxo just down below) right around this place both along the street in front and along the intersecting streets.

Near Luxury On A Budget

Great location, clean comfortable private room with en-suite, friendly and helpful staff. Tasty, wholesome breakfast included in the price. Great value for money accommodation particularly as it is the heart of the vibrant Historic Centre of a fantastic city. Was fortunate on my second stay that the good WiFi was available in my room as well as the common areas
