Great hotel in a great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at the Hotel Alkima. Our room on the top floor was large with a fabulous view out over the bay and surrounding mountains. We didn't have a balcony but soon got used to this slight disappointment. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage space. The powerful bathroom shower was hugely welcome during the heatwave we experienced, as was the air conditioning. Everything was spotlessly clean.
The breakfast every morning was superb, with a wide range on offer, including hot food. Free hot drinks are available throughout the day. We didn't make use of the pool or gardens as we were out every day touring Montenegro but we could see that they were very inviting if you chose not to go out. The gardens come with cute kittens and roaming tortoises!
The location of the hotel is great, with free parking on the main road (beware of fast moving traffic) but there is a pleasant and quieter walk into historic Kotor (30 minutes) along the waterside. There are a handful of good restaurants nearby and a vast number on offer if you want to walk into the town.
The Hotel Kotor is a very good hotel but the best thing we decided was the staff. They are all, without exception, lovely. Chatty and keen to help, but not intrusive. Any request was immediately dealt with, such as our request for an additional chair and small table in our room.
We were sorry to have to say goodbye at the end of our week.
You will not be disappointed if you book a stay at the Hotel Alkima.

Amazing and cozy little hotel in Dobrota, right next to the beach promenade. The staff is absolutely fantastic and they made our stay with them an unforgettable experience. Can wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Alkima to anyone interested in visiting the region.

Amazing staff and lovely hotel

What made this hotel so fantastic were the staff. A special thanks to Susanna, Vera and Damian who were amazing and went beyond everyday to ensure we had a nice stay. A cosy clean hotel which is great value for money and with everything you need, even paddle boards and bikes to rent at low cost. It’s about a 30-40 min walk from Kotor Old Town with plenty of great waterside restaurants along the way.

Wonderful memorable relaxing holiday at Alkima near kotor

We loved hotel alkima, it’s a small hotel with a big heart. When we stayed there was a family of Torttoises and a cat with 4 kittens, it’s so lovely either relaxing by the pool or in the garden on the swing chair. Main thing for us is it had a pool and was family run. Previous reviews were good and it did not fall short. We had a lovely room, the staff were all friendly, helpful and accommodating, breakfast was excellent and it was so quiet. We met lovely people, loved chilling in this relaxing hotel. We were B&B so ate out, lots of great restaurants nearby. The old town is 35 minute walk and Perast just 35 on the bus if you can take the boat. Loads of things to do if chilling isn’t you thinks, lots of walks, trips, bike rides or fun on the water. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and highly recommend. A special Thankyou to Vera on the reception for being so helpful and to the lady in the kitchen for the wonderful Omelettes
