Superb snowmobile excursion in the Lyngen Alps!

Fantastic!! We took a snowmobile tour with XLyngen who also manages the Lodge, the restaurant and many activities. It was great. Everything is run by the same family. First Ben le Papa picked us up from the ferry. Surprise! There were only 4 of us in the group when other excursions from other local companies were at least 12 per group. It was an incredible luxury. We arrived after 30 minutes drive in the fjords. The son, Even, took over, he was our snowmobile guide. We had fun, it was great. The landscapes were crazy, the places deserted, we were alone in the world, and completely Norwegian for a few hours. The calm and serenity of the landscape, the Lyngen Alps on one side, the sea on the other as a backdrop with its full moon. It’s not a snowmobile circuit or a trail, no, we were lucky enough to have a local that made us take a walk, a little hike, and even in blank tracks sometimes. We didn’t meet anyone else. As a bonus at the end we were able to do freestyle on a clearer terrain. Thanks to Ben, Even and the whole family, it was great, we recommend 100%, because if many offer this activity, here at least you are more "preserved", quieter, more authentic and also further. Then we had a superb lunch prepared in pure Norwegian tradition, in a really crazy setting. It is again the same family. We were received by Ben’s sister and in the kitchen she was his sister-in-law. The meal was excellent, a real treat. A hot main course with soup and fish caught the same morning by the family, and a buffet dessert and waffles with hot drinks. We left with Even with the van to get to the ferry. Everything was well organized and excellent! A big thank you!!!

A quiet break in a dream location

We spent two days in this dream location, on the waterfront, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and in absolute calm.
We particularly enjoyed the restaurant which serves high quality cuisine with local products. The decoration is warm and the service very pleasant.
Breakfasts are exceptional with a wide variety of products to choose from and of very good quality.
We also enjoyed the free sauna access where we were alone and the accommodation, very well equipped with sea and mountain views.
The welcome is very warm and the staff very attentive to our needs.

This is such a gorgeous place. We got to see the northern lights both nights. The cabin was very clean and reception has been incredibly responsive. I will be coming back. The view was gorgeous, especially at dawn when the water is still with the white mountains reflecting in the water. Highly recommend.

We loved the location and the cabins were beautiful and cozy. Our only issue was there was no communication from hosts as to how to check in or which cabin was ours, as we arrived on Dec 24th. There was no staff on the property and no instructions left. This is very stressful for us as we drove 3 hours from the tromso airport, to arrive at our lodging with no information left for us. Aside from this, our stay was great. The jacuzzi and sauna were both very clean and great temperature. Overall, a great stay I would just recommend more communication from the host.

Cosy accommodation in a beautiful setting with very great hosts!

We spent a week in Lyngen. We were unlucky with the weather (it was much too warm for the season and hardly any snow), but the time was still nice. It is a family-run business and everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful. They gave us good tips for excursions and sometimes drove us by car to an excursion destination and also picked us up. Breakfast was plentiful. The 3-course menu in the evening was excellent. Great cuisine! Especially the fish was freshly caught and excellently prepared. The sauna can be used daily. For the use of the Jacuzzi you have to pay extra. We were able to borrow snowshoes, hiking poles and spikes. We had booked a fisherman's house for 3 people. So we had really good space for everyone. The only criticism is actually the storage space for clothes in the cabin. There was a small bedside table with 3 drawers next to each bed. If the house had been occupied by 6 people, it would have been uncomfortable. So we put our things on the respective free bed. But that didn't affect our time
Area is beautiful! I can only recommend the accommodation!
